I have never laid eyes on such an exquisite man before, he appeared as if he stepped out of a vampire tale, a king among them. I gazed at him in a daze, surrounded by a soft halo that seemed to create a vacuum impossible for any mortal to enter. He seemed to have just emerged from another crystal-clear realm, carrying an awe-inspiring enchantment. His skin, as pale as snow, and his piercing gaze revealed a mysterious charm. He emitted an alluring aura that captured my attention, thrusting me into the depths of his bewitchment. Every detail about him was nothing short of astonishing. It wasn’t until a fair hand waved rapidly in front of me that I snapped out of the male protagonist’s beauty. I turned my head and saw a lovely girl in a white dress, her skin as pale and lustrous as pearls. She possessed the face of a Hollywood superstar, with sparkling eyes exuding a lively light, like a beautiful and pure angel. She looked at me with concern, softly asking, “Are you alright? Poor Kitty.” I was completely stunned. Stammering for a moment, I pointed my index finger at my own nose uncertainly and asked, “Do you know me?” My name is Catherine, and only a select few intimate people call me Kitty. However, I was certain that I didn’t know the beautiful girl in front of me, who resembled an angel. Her extraordinary appearance and pure beauty would be unforgettable if we had met before. She blinked quickly, revealing a mischievous smile, and moved closer to me with a playful tone. “You didn’t recognize me? Take a closer look.” I was still recovering from the horrifying and bloody scene I witnessed earlier, but the presence of this girl and the perfect, handsome guy seemed to have a calming effect on me. I gradually regained my composure and carefully observed the girl. After examining the beautiful features of her eyebrows, eyes, and nose multiple times, I couldn’t believe it and exclaimed in a low voice, “Annie! Oh my god, you’re Annie! This is not your usual style. Where is your smoky makeup? And what about the lip piercing…” Before I could finish my sentence, Annie covered my mouth with her soft hand. She looked like a alert rabbit, quickly glancing at the gentle guy by her side, and smiled, “Don’t listen to her, . I never dress so extravagantly.” Annie’s terrifying Brother? R ?G? Neither seems to fit. My mouth formed a big ‘O’ in astonishment, big enough to fit an egg. I concluded that everything Annie had told me before was a lie. How could her brother be terrifying? He was so gentle, handsome, and wonderful… … Wait a minute, I seemed to have forgotten something. Annie had once complained that her brother was a violent maniac. And what just happened? My gaze stiffly turned towards the wall that had been smashed into a humanoid hole. Then, I looked at the gentle and handsome guy standing in front of me, as if he had walked out of a world of elves. All the overlooked details quickly connected in my mind. The monster that killed before was definitely not human. And now Annie and the handsome guy appeared suddenly. How could someone who could knock down a non-human be an ordinary person? Why did Annie appear here? I nervously swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Some questions were stuck on my lips but I dared not say them. Whether the monster or the two stunningly beautiful people in front of me, they all had something in common. Their skin was excessively fair. Their appearance was excessively beautiful. They all gave off a sense of beauty and distance that didn’t belong to this world. V~Vampire ! Could they be vampires? I stared at them, unsure, as the idea involuntarily entered my mind. I couldn’t remember if I made a sound or Annie seemed to sense my unease from my terrified expression. All I recollected was …… She gently raising her hands and placing them above my ears. She spoke in a ethereal, soothing tone, saying, “You’re tired, you need rest. You fell asleep in the classroom today and didn’t come to the cafeteria. You haven’t seen…” My thoughts swirled in her hypnotic reassurance, and my eyelids gradually grew heavier. In the final moments before consciousness slipped into darkness, I vaguely heard a growl, “Why? Why would you stop me? I’m doing this for you. The person who might be after your life is right here, I’m just here to protect you! The old parchment prophecy has never been wrong…” What came after that? It was like I caught a glimpse of an incredible secret. However, fatigue and drowsiness completely took over my thoughts. When I woke up again, I found myself lying in a hospital ward. Mom and Dad were sitting by my bed. I had slept for a whole day and night. Everyone around me was immersed in sorrow. They were all whispering about the horrifying shooting incident. Shooting incident!? My eyes widened in shock. Mom and Dad thought I was still unable to escape the psychological shadow of the terror attack, but they didn't know that at this moment, a storm was raging in my heart – no! It wasn't a shooting. It was clearly an inhuman creature, possibly a vampire! How did Annie and the others manage to downplay such a terrifying event and cover up the real truth with a more reasonable explanation? Questions flooded my mind, along with increasing fear! But I didn't speak out about these truths, especially after my phone rang with a new message from Annie. I couldn't make a move, as if I could hear my worldview collapsing piece by piece. Annie had never lied before, this world actually had vampires. And what's even more absurd, now Annie was lying to me! As if nothing had happened, she was replying to my previous message. "Sorry, I just saw your message. I was at the production company today, discussing the adaptation of the novel. Oh my god! I just heard about the terrible thing that happened at your school. How can there be such sick people in this world? Horrible psychopaths. The government really needs to regulate firearms... Are you okay, poor Kitty?" What should I do? How should I respond?
