ACCALIA
We both jump on my bed, drained from walking all day. It’s 3 p.m and I didn’t feel any connection when Jem introduced me to most of her male friends.
We went from restaurant to restaurant, trying out different foods. I was flirting with all the guys I met...on Jem's order.
We went shopping, then saw this blonde guy who kept on winking at me. I swear if I was a w***e, I would have had a little fun with him.
All in all, we had a good time.
" Jem, I’m going to mate Jacob if I don’t find him or...her” I state, clearly disappointed.
Then I remember, after getting out of the 'Palace restaurant, everyone outside appears to be taking pictures.
I'm wasn't aware of what or who they were busily admiring and I didn’t Care.
Crossing the road with my headset in its rightful place, as we walked past two guys I can’t even recollect how they look, I smelled an intoxicating scent.
Roses and lavender was it.
Currently, I'm wondering how strong it would have made me feel if I had just gotten a little bit closer.
That’s when I felt Esmee...for a moment till she slipped away.
“Accalia!” I fall off the bed.
Getting up, I send her a glare.
“I called you more than ten times. What are you thinking of?" Jem questions.
I sit on the bed, take her hands in mine and look her in the eyes.
I tell her everything.
She looks at the ceiling and bites her fingernails like always when she’s in deep thoughts.
“Well...why didn’t you return for a touch?”
“I... I don’t know...maybe I was so engrossed in the song I was listening to”
“Whatever...it’s not late. Six days more. What about we go for a run. It’s been a long time since I let Trixie out” Meg says lazily and sprawls on my bed, reminding me of my buried pain.
I hope Esmee will finally come out tomorrow.
She loves to run and I’m missing her badly. We’re both exhausted so we just lay on my bed, thinking until my door opens drawing our attention.
"Seems you’re both exhausted” My mom says with her hands on her hips.
"That's right...looking for my mate” I tell her not sparing her a glance.
She knows I’m still mad at her for what she did and I’ll forever be if she doesn’t put an end to this beautiful nightmare of hers.
Meg pinches me and I ignore her.
“Just wanted to let you know that we’ll be going for a run, tomorrow... it’s a pack run” Mom informs and leaves, not leaving room for discussion.
We belong to the Light pack. It’s not a prominent pack though, and we don’t useally go for pack runs unless something big happens.
Our Alpha, Ulfred hale, is one wicked and insensitive leader, that being the reason behind our not so unified pack.
His son, Nero hale, nobody knows much about him.
What am I gonna do if I can’t feel Esmee?
I’m in big trouble. That's a fact.
It rarely occurs when a werewolf loses his or her wolf.
If this happens, that wolf is cast out of the pack since you appear to be useless as a human.
That's how most werewolves put it but I hate that term. I mean, it's rude calling humans...useless!.
We take it as you’re no more a shifter. No more a child of the Moon Goddess.
The positive thing is you won’t be recognized as a rouge because you are contrived to leave.
You’ll be made to go through the Novlanda ritual.
I hear it’s extremely painful and also performed by a witch.
Do they even exist?.
That thought makes me laugh.

TYLER
I grimace and he shut up.
His poker face makes me bang my hands on the table, drawing the eyes of many.
It’s not like I give a damn about what they may be thinking of me now.
Here’s a luxurious restaurant and no one’s permitted to take pictures.
That’s a rule here, making this place my favorite.
Plus, the workers here dare not say a word to me knowing my reputation. I turn to my so-called brother.
I might not be the good guy but what he’s asking me to do is evil.
“Calm down, Tyler...if you don’t want to, I’ll find another...understanding Alpha then.” He annoyingly whispers as he takes a sip of his wine.
Aaryn is a selfish bastard. He’s going to do that just to be the Prime Alpha.
I will benefit if I help him and it’s not like I’m not interested in that position either.
Which Alpha won’t?
Rudolfo, what do you think?
After a minute of silence, I ask my wolf taking back my seat as I nearly break the chair.
Really?. You now need my opinion.
Dully, he says and I scoff knowing
well, what he’s getting at.
Not now.
We found her!. He let out howls of excitement.
Cut the crap, dude. It’s just a feeling you had due to your earlier naughty thoughts. I didn’t even touch her. Now, can we get to this....issue?.
He let go of this...for now, I know.
We’ll be the greatest too. Think about it, after getting the Lillith or whatever it’s called, we’ll get rid of your so-called half brother and have the position all to ourselves...He’s not a good guy or it's not like we haven’t murdered anyone for our gains before. No worries. Rudolfo says with pride.
Thinking of it, I shouldn’t have consulted him seeing when it comes to matters of the heart, I’m way better than him.
" I’m not gonna kill him. We’ll just find another way” I say and he shrugs.
“Okay. How are you sure this thing exists?” I calmly ask an impatient Aaryn?
His eyes lits in excitement at my question.
He clamps his hands on the table and jerks his head forward.
“Eighty percent sure. It’s very rare, you see. It comes once in every decade, that’s what I’ve heard. I'm uncertain about this Lillith's history...for now...but I'll find out soon.” Aaryn reply, before taking another sip as he lean into his chair as a sign that he just said something vital.
“Really?... you’re not hundred percent sure this isn’t some myth?. I’m out of here”
"No Tyler. This Lillith is very powerful. According to my research, her powers alone can do things you won't ever imagine bro." He adds.
I place fifty thousand dollars on the table and wink at his now red face.
He gives me a boring look and sips his drink like he was expecting this.
"Next time you call me about this issue, make sure you have enough crucial evidence to prove it's not some myth. If you don't mind, I have to attend back to my business which if I'm not alert, these meager humans will ruin for me. I wouldn't like that, brother" he squirms in his seat, his eyes never leaving mine.
I notice him trying to stay calm but he's so bad at hiding this stuff. I have to give him some lessons about it during my spare time. If I ever get one.
"It would have been much better if you had just employed only shapeshifters. I only have ten percent of humans working in my companies" His gaze shifts to the wine glass in his hand.
"Doesn't work like that for me, brother. I'm a f*****g multi-billionaire" With that, I exit.
My chauffeur opens the back door for me as I enter.
Being an Alpha billionaire is dope. Something he never has.
That’s one of the reasons why we never get along apart from me being Mom’s favorite.
I’m aware he is jealous of me but it’s not my fault when his father is my mom’s choice mate. He’s rich though, but I’m richer.
"Where to, Sir?" He asks.
" My pack house"
