3: Kevin’s POV
Life was almost as boring as death itself when she came into mine.
It was a regular interview for our new set of employees, given how I'd just opened a new Texas branch and transferred the most trustworthy staff to manage it. The transfer had been followed by a round of promotions that left the lower decks open, and thus, the interviews.
However, the moment she entered my office, I knew she wouldn't pass for the role she was applying for. Not only wasn't she the target staff, there was an aura around her that made me know she would not be able to manage the stress that came with it.
