Sofia expected her mother because they promise to meet, but never expected Arsenio's mother, Faye here too.
And again ...
They are badmouthing each other.
It's so unusual seeing Arsenio's mother lose her temper. Mostly she was so calm even at the meeting with investors.
'Mom must be tested Faye's patience to the limit.'
Sofia hates to admit this, but after her mother chooses to separate its way, her friendship with Faye went cold.
Even Faye can't convince her mother to stay in touch.
Her mother like doing it on purpose and sees Faye as a rival for business, not a best friend anymore.
"You think I'm happy too? Don't make me laugh!" Faye screamed with all her might, "I rather see Arsenio forever single than seeing him with Sofia!"
Sofia feels uneasy hearing that. She thinks Faye would be ok with her marriage since back then Faye give a suggestion to marry Arsenio.
Why Arsenio didn't tell her about his mother hated the idea they married?
"Oh ... please, who is always bragging about wanting my precious daughter to become her daughter-in-law in the future? Hm~?" Mia says sarcastically, and laughs after hearing another Faye break down, screaming to shut her mouth, "So childish."
"Childish?" Faye couldn't believe it was coming from Mia's mouth—the one who picks fights with her sarcastic words. Until now, she tried to ignore her, but in the end, here we are, "You should take your own words and look at the mirror who childish here, Mrs. Harrington."
"Oh? I'm—"
"Can you two please stop!?" Sofia interrupted before everything get any worse, "You two cause scene!"
Everybody who just passed them, takes a deep look, or brings out their phone, must be recording this fighting to spread it online.
The fact they in late 40 years old, makes this more embarrassing.
Dealing with reporters is the last thing on Sofia's mind, and she knew her mother and Faye think so.
"Just ... come inside, please ..." Sofia says after her mother and Faye fall silent, "And don't say anything before I told you so."
Mia can't help but ask, but after went inside of course, "Since when are you being bossy? I'm your mother, woman."
Sofia choose to ignore that, she went to the kitchen to pour really cold water to calm down her 'hot' mother and mother-in-law's minds, "Here."
Mia stares at ice water for a moment before says another critic, "Arsenio must be taught you all this. I told you he bad influence."
Sofia slaps her forehead. Her mother does not understand what words can talk after she told her so, however she took this opportunity to see a good wife, "Mom, please stop insulting Arsenio, he's my husband now."
Mia gasped so loudly making Sofia roll her eyes.
'So dramatic.'
"Why so surprised? You understand why, right? If father getting insulted, of course you defending him because you lov—"
Mia gasped again, "Sofia Harrington. Stop right there!" she says more calmly despite her sharp eyes staring at her daughter so deep into her soul, "You don't know what you saying! I knew this marriage is nothing but a liar! So stop it before it's too late."
Sofia really wishes can do that, but unfortunately, she can't. Not now, "You should know by now one reason people get married is that they lov—"
"I said stop!" Mia screamed again.
Sofia rolled her eyes again, "Ok. Then what do you want to discuss, Mom?" she already knew why her mother was here, but still making sure.
A woman can hope. Right?
"What do you mean? Your whole life is so messed up right now," Mia says.
This whole marriage thing spread like fire, people think she and Faye start over again because of this.
"My life is perfect right now. Arsenio is so gentle like he is to me, Mom." Sofia lied, and calmly sip her drink as well because she need a cold mind to control the situation.
Mia cringe hearing all that, not to mention seeing Faye's wide smile like mocking her, "Perfect, hm~? Then ... where's your 'perfect' husband?"
And that question Sofia feared the most finally dropped.
Sofia couldn't control her anger, her palm hold tightly to glass making her knuckles change to white, remembering what happened with her and Arsenio.
'That j*rk busy drank wine and seducing women at Arkyn's wedding.'
Of course Sofia won't say that, instead she comes up with another lie, "He busy right now."
The smile on the corner of Mia's lips got wider. So easy to get the truth from her daughter. Since Sofia is easy to read, she bad habit unable to talk in the eye when she lies, "A gentle, perfect man wouldn't let his wife come home alone, Sofia."
"I can take care of myself," not acting this time, Sofia dislikes someone thinking she should be protected, but she adult now, not seven years old, "What I can say? He attends his cousin's wedding, Arkyn is a Prince too."
The doorbell suddenly can be heard.
"You expecting someone, Sofia?" Faye says, since she was most close to the door, she initiative to open, "Hm~?" She took a closer look at the camera, and gasped, "Arsenio?"
Are Sofia's ears hearing right? "Arsenio?"
"Yes~!" Faye immediately lit up, without thinking twice, she opened the door, "Welcome home, honey~!"
"Whoaaa ...!" Arsenio took a step back surprise seeing her mother's face welcoming home not Sofia, "M-mom!?"
Sh*t.
In a flash Arsenio awkwardly hid the red roses bouquet behind his back with the hope his mother didn't see.
"Hm~?" Faye innocently tilts her head to take a sneak peek behind her son's back. It's so obvious, and she already sees that.
What so embarrassing about it?
Since Faye's ears are burning from hearing all nonsense from Mia, she is dedicated to fighting back, "Is this for me~?"
"Wha—?" Arsenio knew well that look his mother showed to him. He didn't mind actually, this bouquet is for his 'new' wife anyway, "No. This is for my beloved wife—Sofia."
Sofia herself was surprised, to add the mess, Arsenio come closer and give a peck on her cheek before handing the bouquet into her palm.
"I realize my mistake and come here so fast, Honey." Arsenio began his best acting, gently caressing her long blond hair, "But I knew I'm late, so this is my form apologizes to you."
Sofia understands his intention, but why should kiss her cheek too!? Without her permission!

Sofia should act crying with joy, not like enemies, "Thanks, babe~" she dying inside here.
Arsenio just smiles.
"No ..."
Sofia looked at her mother who covered her mouth, shocked to see what happened.
"No!" Mia began screaming again. Refuse to believe what she sees, "Don't believe you two! I'll still live here for now!"
