Arsenio took a deep breath after closing the penthouse door. He hoped that with this, his parents would talk properly, and maybe they would realize—that his mother would realize that she still loved his father. 'I can't wait to imagine it.' His family will be rebound again. "Trying to reunite your parents eh, Arsenio?" "Agh!" Arsenio jumped in surprise when he heard Sofia's voice suddenly, especially right in his ear, "did you have to surprise me like that, babe?" Sofia didn't answer him, instead continued what she was saying, "You know it won't work. Your Mom recently accepted Mr. Fynn's dinner invitation." She felt bad telling this, but he had to accept his mother start moving on from his father. "Don't act like you know everything, Honey," Arsenio sneer back, "It's not your business." "Maybe try taking your own word next time you are trying cheap tricks to plan to get your parents back together," Sofia criticized before leaving Arsenio, who was hurt by her words. "You guys are fighting over something as small as this?" Mia asked with a disgusted look. "Not now, Mom." Sofia was not in the mood to answer nonsense things. She knew she shouldn't be angry, but she couldn't help it. Arsenio was her best friend, after all, and she cared about him and understood why he wanted his parents back together, but Faye had moved on; she saw his mother kissing Fynn's cheek on the third floor of the restaurant where she worked on lunch break. "Oh, here it comes, the main protagonist," Mia says when she sees Arsenio walking here with a tired face, "Arsenio, you have to stop doing that." "Why do you care? Last time I checked, you didn't, Mia." Arsenio says coldly before realizing what he said was so wrong. He exhaled, "You know what? I have no appetite, you two can have a quiet dinner without me. Enjoy." "Sure," Mia responded indifferently, which was good for her. On the other hand, Sofia felt sympathy; she had a feeling of urgency to talk to him, but on the other hand, she wanted to have dinner with her mother to talk about the never-ending 'war' with Faye. She stared deep into the rib eye at the table before standing up, "I'm sorry, Mom. But I have to talk to Arsenio." "What? Are you going to leave me alone? Me? Your mother," says Mia. "I know ... I'm sorry," Sofia mumbled regretfully, "but Arsenio needs me as a wife; I have to be by his side, Mom." Moreover, there was the possibility of his sadness from her words earlier, she couldn't just stay silent, "I'm really sorry." she regretted again. "Sofia Harrington, come back here," Mia called out in an order, but Sofia ignored her, leaving her alone. Frustrated, she shouted, “You are not his wife!” *** "Hey, Handsome." Arsenio didn't respond. Sofia felt embarrassed by her failed seduction. She shouldn't have done it to break the awkward atmosphere between them, "Hey." "What do you want?" Arsenio now wanted to open his lips, not with his body still facing away from her and his eyes looking sadly at the cloudy night sky from the bedroom balcony. "Need a friend?" Sofia offered, her confidence rising again to get his response. At first, she wanted to give up because, at times like this, he usually wanted to be alone. "No." "Don't be like that," Sofia cooed. "Is the word no not enough for you?" Sofia stepped back, and all her confidence instantly disappeared into ashes, hearing the coldness of his voice saying that. She bit her lower lip, holding back from fighting back. She knew him too well, "I understand." she muttered, then turned around, intending to go back to meet her mother, who might also be angry with her. "Wait." Sofia stopped walking; she turned her head to see Arsenio looking at her, too, "Yes?" she tried to speak as calmly as possible to hide her happiness. "You can spend time here too. The sky tonight is not very beautiful, but it's your choice." Arsenio says. Sofia approached again without thinking twice, taking a seat beside him to look at the cloudy black sky. She had to admit what he said was true, tonight was not very beautiful. Arsenio took a deep breath. Sofia took advantage of that by asking softly, "So, something on your mind, Arsenio?" "Nothing in particular," Arsenio answered almost in a whisper. Sofia played with her grip on the black iron railing of her room's balcony, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I... lost myself for a moment." There was silence for seconds between them before Arsenio's long sigh broke the awkwardness. "There's nothing wrong with what you said, we just see it from different perspectives," Arsenio says softly, "don't blame yourself, okay?" Sofia appreciated how mature Arsenio was in responding to the problem between them, behind his mischievous side, there was a mature side that was rarely seen in him, "You want to have dinner with us?" Arsenio let out a soft laugh, "Nope. I'm not ready for that one." "Hey, we're talking about my Mom here." Sofia hit his shoulder playfully, "Don't be like that." Arsenio turned his body so he could lean on the iron railing of the balcony, "I guess ..." He just needed patience before calling it a day, "You convinced me, babe." "I know Mom can be hard sometimes, but I'm here," Sofia says, "just show how much we love each other, I'm sure we'll be fine." "Love each other ..." Arsenio mumbled in deep thought, "what about some practice then~?" "Eh?" Sofia was confused he locked her in his arms without warning, "You just want to mess with me. Stop it." "You got me ..." Arsenio giggles, dropping his hand to his side. "Oh?" Sofia feels her phone vibrate, "Gimme a sec." She picks it up to see who it is, and her face turns solemn seeing Dominic's name on the screen, "What does he want now?" From: Dominic Hey, are you at the penthouse? I want to give you a double surprise that we agreed on yesterday ;) "What?" Sofia was shocked after reading it, not because of surprise but because of the fact that Dominic returned to New York early. Didn't he attend Arkyn's wedding? Now that Sofia thought about it, Arsenio was also here, meaning he didn't attend Arkyn's wedding either, "Did you come here because Arkyn's wedding was over or what?" "I was worried about you," Arsenio answered honestly. Sofia stared uncomfortably, his words tickled her deepest heart for some reason. "I mean, I was worried that you would say something strange about our wedding," Arsenio added which made the strange feeling in Sofia's heart disappear instantly. "I'm not like you ...!" Sofia criticized in annoyance, "Anyway, how about we start dinner, 'Babe'?" "Sure ..." Arsenio just stared innocently before leaving the room.
