"i won't give up again, sofia."
"about what?" sofia asked hesitantly. he had a bad feeling about this.
"remember the last time we had s*x?"
"arsenio!" now is not the time to talk about that! sofia tried to forget since last night, now it reminds me again.
"remember you told me that i was so gentle?" arsenio is more specific about his meaning.
sofia remembered, thank you for reminding her. after he finished going on a date with dominic, he went to watch a movie with arsenio to cover his disappointment because the date ended quickly because of the rain.
in the rain, sofia asks for a hug during the film, and somehow they end up having s*x again.
sofia remembers how arsenio asked her to keep her eyes open as long as they did so it would be a beautiful ending. he doesn't understand the point, but does it because his thrust is slow, but deep.

arsenio reasoned because she is a friend who is so precious and special to him.
"what's with that?" sofia asked to end her wild thoughts.
"back then, i said you were a very precious and special friend," arsenio began, "but i lied about that to you, to myself." he continued in a low voice regretting how stupid he had been.
"it's okay, i understand, arsenio," sofia said awkwardly. he didn't think it was a big deal. his reaction would have been different if he had told her back then because she was still in love with him, and felt bittersweet when he heard it.
"you don't understand," arsenio mumbled, "that i should have said 'woman' instead of friend."
woman?
arsenio considers her a woman, not a friend.
"what you say won't change anything, arsenio," sofia gave her refusal. if it's true what she thinks that she loved him first, it's too late, "you know me and dominic are engaged."
"that j*rk, huh?" arsenio quipped while rolling his eyes, "before you reject me, i want to ask you one thing. has he been honest about the secret i mean?" he asked confidently because dominic reacted violently instead of answering.
"that..."
"looks." arsenio took his hand, holding it gently, "i've been lying to my feelings all this time because i believe dominic can make you happy because you look like that when you're with him. but after i came back, everything is still the same. should i shut up?"
"what are you trying to say, arsenio?" sofia asked quietly. he actually knew, but wanted to hear it directly from him, wanted certainty.
after all, arsenio has a complicated relationship with cindy.
"i love you, sofia."
sofia immediately pulled her hand from his grip. he stepped away finally getting the certainty he didn't expect.
this doesn't make sense.
at that time, arsenio was chasing cindy, never showing any interest in her romantically, in fact he joined in on her pranks with his friends! that's why sofia had a hard time believing it.
"i know you don't believe me, how about i tell you everything? i fell in love with you in the first place?" arsenio said calm down.
sofia wanted to hear a fact she didn't know, but she asked herself one more time: what for? it's not like she's still in love with him.

"you remember the freshman party on campus, don't you?" arsenio asked, "i came home early."
"you always come home early every time you attend people's parties, arsenio," sofia criticized her bad habit, i don't know what made her and dominic able to enjoy such wild parties, until someone was caught taking drugs.
"a month after you became dominic's girlfriend," arsenio said, "there was a summer party at the mateo's villa. remember?"
"oh yeah..." sofia remembered that she was also invited, but couldn't attend because she was sick with the flu and she was on her period too, she didn't want to be a troublemaker because her mood was up and down.
"remember the woman i was hugging you said my new target?" arsenio asked with a hint of sarcasm.
"eva?"
"yes, he also attends the mateo party because his house is close to the villa," arsenio said, "he's also dominic's childhood friend, you know?"
sofia didn't know about eva, "i never saw dominic with her so..." she felt it was not important because eva didn't go to the same university as them.
"i can see you defending your little fiancé," arsenio said sarcastically, "but eva wasn't just dominic's childhood friend, eva was a mother who gave birth to him too."

"you are lying!" sofia screamed in disapproval, "dominic doesn't have a daughter!"
"because dominic doesn't admit it?" arsenio muttered with a calm expression "because what happened to him and eva at the party at villa mateo was just a summer fling?"
"impossible!" sofia doesn't want to believe it, rejecting the fact that dominic isn't the manly man he's known for so long, "you made this all up to ruin my relationship with dominic, didn't you!? you think you can get my heart with this dirty way!?"
"you believe it or not is your decision, just like how you feel for me. i just said what i had to say two years ago," arsenio said sharply, he wasn't surprised he would fight this fact because dominic is like a prince that women have been dreaming of ever since. in senior high school. she rolled her eyes remembering that, "eva came to college that time to talk about her pregnancy, but dominic didn't recognize the baby she was carrying because he believed she had s*x with another man at the party."
"stop it! stop talking!" sofia screamed furiously, "you're lying! there's no way my dominic would act like such a coward!" he continued passionately, "it's true what he said that you have ulterior motives! i hate you, arsenio!!!"
