Everything was going so smoothly. Until that broadcast aired. Katherine almost passed out right there. Before I could get to her she ran and locked herself in the bathroom. She was in there so long Ivan dispersed everyone there. He couldn’t wait around, so he left eventually too.
Zeke brought her up to her room not long after. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying, and when he put her to bed she wouldn’t let us go. She cried herself to an uneasy sleep plagued with nightmares. I stayed until she calmed down, then left quietly. I needed to feed, and Adam could watch over her.
