Panic.
All I felt was panic.
I ran from the room and locked myself in the bathroom. My nerves were on fire and I heaved up everything in my stomach. I curled up on the floor and lay there shaking for the longest time. My head was swirling with memories of that monster and every hit I had to take from him. Every bone he ever broke, all the scars he put on my body.
Zeke was the one who finally came for me. He was quiet and shaky too, but gave me a little smile as he carried me upstairs to bed. Adam and Gaize were there already and lay me down between them.
