Nine After I left Po Hing, I drove straight back to Mei Hsu’s house. I showed her the map and went over the plans and timing with her. When I’d finished, she phoned one of her men. Again they talked in the same dialect. When she had finished, she hung up and smiled at me. “They have the plans and the time schedules,” she said. “They will be there. You can depend on them, Milo.” “If you say so, I’m sure I can,” I told her. “I wasn’t worrying about that.” While we had two more martinis I quickly sketched the rest of the picture as I saw it.
