I checked into the hotel and asked the clerk to order a rented Cadillac for me. I went up to the room and called room service to order a bottle of V.O. and some ice. Then I unpacked and called the valet service for some rush laundry and dry cleaning. A waiter arrived fairly soon with the ice and the booze. I signed the check and gave him a big tip. Another man arrived from the valet service to pick up my clothes. I also gave him a big tip. I figured it was the best way to make sure that Angelo Bacci discovered I was in the hotel.
