Victoria Hayes never believed in Christmas magic—until it kissed her. Left dateless at the high school Christmas party, she expected humiliation, not heart-stopping kisses from the enigmatic twin brothers, Derek and Neo Blackwood. One is a brooding hockey star, the other a wild-hearted biker, and both are impossible to resist. But when holiday gossip and jealous rivals threaten her peace, Victoria must decide if she’s brave enough to believe in love again—or risk being left in the cold.

Magic
Chapter 1 Based on the plot outline you have written and writing with simple and common words, in not less than 1500 words, adding as much conversations as possible and making the story filled with suspense that will entice readers, continue from the last chapter and]]] write chapter ... in present tense in ...'s POV In not less than 1500 words, using simple and common words and adding as much conversations as possible, continue writing the story while avoiding writing about anything scientific. It should be fast paced and interesting for readers I’m standing by the punch bowl, pretending to be interested in the red liquid inside, but all I can do is stare at the dance floor. The gym is packed with students, some swaying to the music, others laughing in groups, the Christmas lights on the walls casting a soft glow over everyone. The smell of pine and cinnamon is almost overwhelming, mixing with the heavy scent of perfume and cologne. It’s like the Christmas cheer has invaded every corner of Cedar Hollow High’s annual Christmas party. But I don’t feel cheerful. I’m alone. Again. The entire school has a date. Well, except for me. I thought for sure I’d get one this year. After all, I wasn’t invisible anymore. Hockey had done wonders for my reputation, and the rumors about me being a “tough girl” had somehow made me more attractive to the guys. But here I am, standing in the corner like an afterthought, watching couples glide across the floor, laughing and spinning in the holiday lights. I take a sip of punch and cringe at how sugary it is. I’m about to turn and leave when Mila slides up beside me, her vibrant red dress sparkling in the dim light. “Vic, you’re not actually going to stand here all night, are you?” She grins at me, her dark eyes twinkling with mischief. “You’ve got way too much attitude to be lurking in the shadows.” I roll my eyes, but there’s no real heat behind it. Mila is my best friend, and she’s the only one who can always pull me out of my moods, even when I don’t want her to. “I’m fine,” I mutter, trying to look casual. “Just not in the mood for all this festive stuff, you know?” Mila laughs, leaning in. “You never are. But you’ve got to at least pretend to enjoy the party, Vic. You’re looking like a sad, lonely Christmas elf right now.” “I’m not a Christmas elf,” I grumble, brushing some stray hair from my face. “I’m just... not interested in dancing or pretending like everything’s perfect when it’s not.” Mila arches an eyebrow, glancing at the dance floor. “Yeah, well, Derek Blackwood and his twin brother Neo definitely seem to be enjoying the party.” I freeze. Of course, she would bring them up. Derek and Neo Blackwood are the talk of the school. The Blackwood twins are not just popular — they’re legendary. Derek is the brooding hockey star, everyone’s dream guy with his quiet confidence and dark, stormy eyes. Neo, on the other hand, is the wild one, the biker with a reckless streak and a grin that could melt anyone’s heart. And here I am, standing by the punch bowl, completely ignored by both. Mila nudges me, snapping me out of my thoughts. “What are you thinking, huh?” I glance up, only to find Derek Blackwood himself walking toward the punch bowl, his gaze landing on me with an intensity that makes my heart race for no reason. My breath catches in my throat. I quickly look away, pretending to focus on the punch again. But I can feel him getting closer. The sound of his boots tapping against the floor echoes in my ears. I force myself to stay calm. This is Derek Blackwood, the guy every girl at this school has a crush on. He doesn’t even know I exist. “Victoria.” His deep voice makes me jump. I turn to see him standing right next to me, a faint smile on his lips. “Uh, hey, Derek,” I manage to say, trying to sound casual but failing miserably. I can already feel the heat rising to my cheeks. “You’re not dancing?” He asks, his gray eyes flickering over the crowded dance floor. I shake my head, feeling a pang in my chest. “Nope. Not my thing.” He nods thoughtfully. “Yeah, it’s not my thing either.” He leans against the punch table, the scent of his cologne filling the space between us. “But I figured I’d check on you. You’re usually pretty hard to miss.” I frown, confused. “What do you mean?” Derek shrugs, his smile almost teasing. “You’ve got this... presence about you. Always. Even when you’re standing in a corner like a ghost.” I feel the heat rise to my cheeks again. “I’m not a ghost,” I mutter, wishing I could disappear right now. Derek glances over his shoulder and then back at me, his expression turning serious. “I get it, you know? You’re not like the others. And that’s something I admire. You’re real.” Before I can respond, Mila’s voice interrupts, calling my name from across the room. “Victoria! Come here, now!” I shoot Derek a quick look, and he gives me a small, understanding nod, taking a step back. “I’ll catch you later, Victoria.” And then, just like that, he’s gone, melting into the crowd. I don’t even get a chance to reply before Mila grabs my arm and pulls me toward the center of the room. She’s practically glowing, excitement practically radiating from her. “What was that about?” she asks in a hushed tone, her eyes wide with curiosity. “I don’t know,” I mutter, still reeling from the encounter. “He’s... he’s Derek Blackwood. Why would he even talk to me?” Mila gives me a knowing look. “Don’t be so modest, Vic. You’ve got it. Besides, you do have that ‘I-don’t-care’ vibe that makes everyone want to care about you.” “Stop,” I grumble. “You’re going to get me to overthink it.” “Well, that’s kind of the point.” Mila shrugs playfully, dragging me over to the dance floor. “C’mon, you’re not standing around like a wallflower tonight. You’re going to dance.” “I told you, I don’t—” Mila cuts me off, grinning mischievously. “Too bad. You’re doing it.” Before I can protest again, a familiar voice interrupts. “Mind if I cut in?” I freeze as I hear Neo Blackwood’s voice, smooth and confident. My stomach drops, and I almost wish I could disappear into the floor. He stands in front of me, his wild grin on display, eyes gleaming like he knows exactly what effect he has on people. I look up to see his twin, Derek, standing nearby, his arms crossed and his expression unreadable. “Uh, I... what?” I stammer, completely caught off guard. Neo’s grin widens, clearly enjoying my discomfort. “Come on, don’t leave me hanging.” He holds out his hand. I hesitate for a moment, glancing between him and Mila, who is practically bouncing with excitement. I sigh, knowing there’s no way out now. “Fine,” I mutter, reaching for his hand. The second I do, the crowd seems to part for us as Neo leads me into the center of the dance floor. The music shifts, a slower, more romantic melody filling the air. Neo pulls me closer than I expect, and I can feel the heat of his body, the leather of his jacket against my skin. “Relax,” he murmurs, his voice low and teasing. “I don’t bite... unless you ask nicely.” I try to focus on the rhythm of the music, but my mind is a whirlwind of thoughts. This is Neo Blackwood. The one I always hear about — the one who’s as dangerous as he is charming. He’s the guy who flirts with every girl in sight and leaves them breathless, only to disappear the next day. But right now, with his hand on my waist and his gaze locked on mine, I can’t seem to breathe at all. “So,” he says, his voice dropping to a soft whisper. “How does it feel to be the most interesting girl in this room?” I look up at him, swallowing hard. “I’m not—” He cuts me off with a quiet chuckle. “Yeah, you are. Derek knows it too.” I freeze, my heart racing. “Derek?” I ask, my voice barely a whisper. Neo grins, mischief dancing in his eyes. “Oh, he’s watching. He won’t admit it, but he’s been watching you all night. Don’t think I haven’t noticed.” I don’t know what to say. My head spins with confusion, and all I can do is cling to the rhythm of the dance, hoping the moment will pass. But the tension between us — the way Neo’s eyes never leave mine — tells me that this night is far from over.
