Talk with Grandpa

Bianca's POV
" Okay young lady follow me, let's get to know each other. " Grandpa said with a sad smile. Something tells me that there's some things am not going to like hearing. " Okay grandpa !! " We walked out of the pack house and down a path heading into the forest. The more we walked the less houses we pass. We entered the edge of the forest and walked for about ten minutes on a dirt path until a we came across a clearing.
We continue to walk until a beautiful glassy, shiny lake that twinkle in the sunlight. I was in total awe. It's like time stopped and I didn't notice grandpa disappeared. Panic set in and a ran to the water shouting. " Grandpa grandpa !!!! Where did you go? " ' Great I just met him and now I lost him. ' I thought to myself. Sitting at the edge of this crystal clear lake. I sighed thinking about all the things I wanted to do with him and ask him about my mother. I wonder if he knew mother's true identity and why I needed to be born.
' Splish, splash uhh what was that? ' I jumped up and looked around. I was soo lost in my sorrow and thoughts that I didn't notice the water was moving. SPLASH !! " Uhhhh where did the water came from? " I shouted as I was drenched in water. I look to the lake to see it moving. Little ripples turn into big ripples slowly spreading on top of the water. I looked over to my right and noticed a wooden dock.
I walked to the edge of the dock focusing on the ripples. There was something swimming close to the surface. I inched as close to the water surface as I can and that's when I saw it. The skin was pale blue almost blending in with the water. Black eyes that look like a abyss. It moved so elegantly in the water and really fast. I was soo amazed at how it moved without resistance against the water.
I awestruck !!! I was my first time seeing something like this. I watched as this mysterious creature glide like a bird in the sky, across the water. Then suddenly it came out of the water and closer to me. I was not afraid and I felt surprisingly drawn to it. It was like I knew it and it seems to know me. It was soo close I can reach out and touch it. It smiled at me and said my pup. I was stunned. " IT CAN TALK !! " I said with my mouth gaping like a fish. " Of course my pup. It's grandpa !! Let's go over to my home. " " Okay " " Okay what? " " Okay grandpa !! " I said with a smile. This is soo cool.
I walked along the water edge following grandpa in the direction of a wooden cabin. It looked quite old but well taken care of. It was sitting on top of the water with a walk way that connected it to the land. ' I wonder why they built it on the water instead of on land. ' I thought to myself. I walked up to the door, turning the door knob and it opened. ' The doors not even lock. Grandpa have no concerns for his safety. ' I thought mindless as I enter the house. " Grandpa where are you? " I shouted as I walk in to what I assume to be the living room. It had only two chairs and a small coffee table that separate them. Opposite that room was a small kitchen. It had a fridge, stove, sink and small cupboards above the sink. above the stove was a window. Next to the fridge was a plastic table and two chairs. " Grandpa really don't have much. I wonder if he is poor. " I spoke under my breathe as I looked at the limited things he owned. I looked around and followed the hallway to the backrooms which I assumed was the bedroom but I was totally wrong.
As soon as I entered the room I almost fell in the water. The room had no floor!! " Wooooaaahhh !!!! This is amazing. " I shouted as grandpa made his way to the surface. " Do you like it pup? " " Yes grandpa.... but where do you sleep? " I asked with curiosity laced in my words. I was practically jumping out of my skin to learn more about my mother side of the family. She hasn't told me much about them. I think she is still sad about leaving them behind so I try not to let my curiosity get the best of me. Grandpa laugh and excited the water shifting back as he raised. My face and ears turn a light shade red from embarrassment as I noticed grandpa's naked. " I- I w- will w- wait f- for you out there !! " I say as grandpa made his was to the walk in closet and I turn on my heels. I know being naked is nothing to be embarrassed about and wolf's and other shifters often be naked after shifting but it's my first time being close to a naked person. It's quite uncomfortable. I made my to the living room and got comfortable as a waited.
" Would you like some milk and cookies pup? " " Yes please grandpa !! " I say very excitedly and grandpa laughter echoed in the small house. Grandpa walked in with the two glasses of milk and a plate of cookies and rested them on the coffee table. " Eat up pup. " I smiled and picked up a cookie and ate it. " It soo delicious. It falls apart in my mouth. " I said as I shoved two more in my mouth. " So I take it by the way you are eating that cookies are your favourite? " Grandpa said watching me closely. I shrugged my shoulders. " I don't really know this is my first time eating anything this sweet. I normally only eat soup and bread with water from miss Julie. " I said as I sipped the milk. " Woahh there's soo many flavours I didn't know about. " I smiled and continued to eat. Grandpa just watched me with a sad small smile.
After about ten cookies and half a glass of milk, I was full and sat back and looked at grandpa. " Grandpa what type of shifter are you? " " I am a alpha siren pup. " " Cool will I have or am I a siren too? " " Umm.... in your case your only half siren because of your mother. " " Does being half siren means I won't have a siren like you and mommy? " " Umm.. yes and no. " " I don't get it. " " You see pup half sirens only become a full siren after having their heart absolutely broken. A siren is born after immense pain. " " What does immense mean? " " It means very very large. " " What pain did mommy have to get her siren? " " She lost her first mate. " " Wow that must have hurt alot. A mate is supposed to be your other half. " " So you know about the mate bond? " " Yes when miss Julie found hers she explained to me what it was. " " You are very smart my pup."
We sat and talked about little things about me, grandpa and mommy for the rest of the afternoon. I even found how I have a grammy. She lives in the capital with the king and queen because she is a superior queen witch. I don't know what it is but grandpa says she swim to her everyday. They lake connects to the lycan king's pack, father's pand and another pack. Time moved soo fats that it was time for me to head home. Grandpa walked me back to father and gave me a kiss on the forehead before he left. He promised we would do that at least twice a week.
