Was it the combined fate of Solon and me? Or maybe it was Gles who rubbed her overflowing luck on me. Weirdly enough, Gles was out of luck when she received her unique spell. I stood up from my seat when I heard mom calling us for lunch. As normal, dad wasn't home for lunch. I sat down beside Klee and I saw her cheeks redden. "Hey. You free later on? I need someone to help me out shopping." I asked Klee. "You know you can't date your sister. It's not a good idea." Mom steps in before Klee had the chance to react. Klee flushed hard. "We're not going to date!" "You should stop poking fun at her, mom. Look, she's redder than a shrimp. Also, I wanted to bring her with me when I take Gles shopping later." "Oh. So you're taking Gles out on a date. The more reason for you not to take her along. She'll just be a third wheel." "I'm not dating. I need Klee to help Gles out. Her opinion on the recent trends is a big benefit." "Okay. I agree." "Why are you consenting!? You're not the one going with him!" Klee blurted out. "So you don't want to go?" I asked. "Hmph. I didn't say that. Of course, I'm going. I don't want to leave you alone with a naive girl. Who knows what you'll do to her." She crossed her arms below her chest. "Hey! I'm a decent person, just so you know." I defended myself. "Right." She rolled her eyes, her tone was sarcastic. Did I raze down kingdoms in my previous life? Why does my family think I'm unreliable? As expected, only Gles can understand my pure heart. **** "You sure she's coming?" Klee was brutal as she stabbed a spoon at her cake repeatedly. We're currently sitting at a cafe waiting for Gles. "I know she will. She's always late though." I took a glance at my watch to check the time and almost laughed when I remembered, I don't wear watches. I took out my phone. It was half-past two, she was very late. "Even though it took you too much time getting ready, Gles is unreasonably late." "It's not like you don't know us girls, for us, an hour isn't enough to get our hair done." Klee flicked her hair my way. I didn't want to argue with her on this one. Men also take their time combing their hair, especially when they want to impress a lady. Not me though, I let my hair do whatever it wants. Kring. Kring. The door opens up and a middle-aged man with an oddly familiar face walks in. He was garbed in a red noble's overcoat. Attending him was a man of the same age but wore a tailcoat. When I recognised the emblem on the butler's chest, I instantly knew why the aristocrat looked familiar. It was the crest of the Ervinsyl family. I was focused on the crest that I didn't notice the aristocrat had walked to our table. I was surprised when he sat down next to me. "You must be Solon, Gles told me so much about you." He rested his hand on my shoulder. Then his eyes wandered towards Klee. "Did Gles know you're going out with another woman other than her?" His voice tanked a few degrees, his grip on my shoulder tightened.
