“Hi…”
SHIT! Grabbing the pan I almost dropped, I turned to him. He’s standing over me, well over 6ft tall, raven dark hair, gray eyes that are practically undressing me, and that smirk that shows his dimples that I am absolutely in love with. Seeing that he is wearing gym clothes, he must be coming back from training.
“Uh…Hi. Sorry you startled me”
“Sorry about that, I thought you heard me come in”
“I didn’t being that I was so caught up in my chorus”
He looks over and takes a bite of bacon and for some reason I am already wishing that I was that piece about to be in his mouth.
“Mmmm…I wonder if you’re this delicious as your cooking”
*Blush* I did not expect that.
“Umm..Is there anything else you need Alpha Thomas?”
“Please, just Thomas and if you aren’t doing anything tonight, I would love to see you.”
“I don’t think that’s a possibility, I have to prepare dinner as well and focus on my studies plus...”
He interrupted me, “Nope, skip it I’ll find someone to take care of the packhouse duties. Come on, just an hour if anything please?”
“…Okay Thomas.”
“Great! Meet me by the courtyard at 6 pm. I’ll see you there Eliza, right?”
Oh, he knows my name? “Yes, that’s right” as I smiled big
Thomas turned away and I am standing there smiling away until Davina my wolf reminded me that I am looking like a bimbo “Earth to Eliza, you have to finish your duties before someone catches you” s**t she’s right! “Oh my goodness! Thank you for the reminder, I just did not expect that encounter, do you think he’s our mate Davina?” “I do have a sense that he is a fated mate, but we won’t know until your birthday”
I sighed. Welp, in 48 hours we will definitely find out. I finished all my chores for the day and decided to head back being that I should take advantage to get an early start for my date. I wished Lily was here today to take witness of what just happened. Walking towards the cottage, I was able to bump into Mary, one of the oldest omegas here that has been serving the Alphas the longest
“Hello Mary! How are you today?”
“Oh Eliza! I am great just aging until I return to dust haha”
It makes me sad to hear things like that, but I decided to push it away “Hey, I wanted to see if you happened to spot Lily or heard anything from her? I know that she never usually takes a day.”
“I try not to pry on other’s affairs but, I did overhear that she was emotionally distraught with something. Some others found her crying while cleaning the Alpha’s chambers.”
Oh…That’s rough. I wondering what could be bothering her so much?
“O..oh Mary…I was just…just trying to see if she was okay.”
“I know darling, just be careful here. You don’t know what trouble is lingering around.”
“Well…I’ll see you later.” While giving her hug and made my way down to our cottage.
As I walked in, I seen my mom just blankly staring at the TV.
“Hey mom”
“What have you been up to?” She said in a disgusting tone.
“Same as always, just fulfilling my duties that I always do at the packhouse”
“Good because you will not embarrass me in front of the Alpha and Luna”
“Mom what the f**k? Stop I don’t want to have this argument” “
I just want you to remember where your place is in this world.” And what was that? At the bottom pit?
I decided to ignore her and went into my tiny room. There was my bed, the dresser with a mirror and cosmetics and a makeshift closet I built to place the little of decent clothes I have. I decided to do simple and cute. I pulled my best jeans out with a black shirt that hangs off one of my shoulders. I took off my leggings and old t shirt and tossed them over to the side. I decided to do more of a natural look being that I wasn’t sure how Thomas preferred girls.
Taking my hair out, I ran my fingers through to make the waves reappear and smoothed out. My hair fell to my waist and relooking myself in the mirror once again I am staring into my yellow orbs
“Davina…Am I even good enough to be mates with an Alpha?”
“Eliza don’t you dare doubt yourself and your worth. The Mood Goddess gifts us with our fated mates being that we are the perfect match for them. She never makes mistakes so don’t begin that thought process. I know we have faced the worst being in our situation but, there is going to be a great change just you wait. I can feel it”
She’s right, just because I was born into the lower division in a pack does not mean I am worth nothing in my life
“Thank you Davina. You truly are my best friend.” “Who else would you be best friends with?” I giggled at her comment, grabbed my phone and headed off.
Walking back into the living space I seen my mom still in the same place she was in hours ago
“Mom I’m leaving”
“And where do you think you’re going?”
“Meeting with a friend.”
“So you thought the next best thing for you is to w***e around?”
Okay now I no longer have the patience “If you were to even care, I am meeting Thomas at the courtyard, he wants to see me and I do believe he is my fated mate!” She had this look of shock in her face being that she was not ready for me to stand up for myself. With that I left and made my way to the courtyard
