Forever And A Day

Eliza My name is Eliza Steel, and I am a regular omega within the Mountain View pack. There is really nothing big about me, I just know I was faced with the worst for a life. My mother Ines Steel seems to not have any adoration to me which I do not understand as to why. I thought mothers always love their children but, for as long as I can remember she has never really been loving to me. I’ve learned to live with it. I’ve never knew about my father. Mom never bother to mentioned him and whenever I brought him up in discussion, she had this disgust look in her face and it would then lead to an argument. We tend to get looks being that it is usually not normally to have a single parent at the packhouse. That only happens when a mate dies leaving their family. All of us here are born with our own werewolves that are just another part of our beings. The Moon Goddess created us as her children and blessed us with our own best friend which is our wolves. We meet with them by the age of 13 and have our first shift on the full moon. My shift I had to do on my own and it was painful. Having to go through that without anyone was tragic but, out of that I was able to meet my wolf, Davina. I am timid and shy when it comes to things, and I tend to stay away from confrontation while Davina is the complete opposite. She’s so strong minded and has the confidence I envy. She’s no-nonsense attitude and gives no f***s of others opinion. She truly is what helps me with my weaknesses. We live in a small cottage within the pack up in the mountains. The usual duties of an omega are to practically serve the royals meaning, Alphas, Betas, Gammas, and their respected mates. By the age of 18, you usually find your mate and I have been really anxious to find mine just so I can leave this hellhole. Another reason is I noticed the next Alpha; Thomas Hawthorn has really been on my mind lately. I am only 17 and being that my birthday is a few days away, I would not be surprised that he would be my mate. I have always noticed he would stare at me when I’m doing my pack house duties whether cooking or cleaning. I seem to always find him look over studying me. As I got up before the sun rises, I leave a note for my mom to let her know that I will be at the pack house which doesn’t matter being that she never really cares where I go. I look myself in the mirror, place my long dark hair in a messy bun, try to clean whatever it is my eyes. Staring back, I just see my deep yellow orbs trying to find what really is my purpose in life. I’ve always been pale but what has been the thing to have me stick out was my eyes. I left and moved my way to the pack house. Walking up to the structure, I see the 5 floors building, taking the time to realize that this is my life and going to be forever my job to be, serving others. I took a deep breath and made my way inside. There is a specific area where the omegas have lockers and place down their belongings. I look around and noticed my friend Lily has yet to make it in. Hmmm…Strange. She’s never off or late with anything. I wonder if things were good with her. I grabbed my apron and made my way into the kitchen. I looked into the massive walk in to begin on breakfast. Placing all the necessary ingredients and brought out items for lunch as well. I quickly began with everything. Usually it helps to have the extra hands but, I can handle a challenge. As time passed on I was able to survey what was completed. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, gravy, biscuits etc..By the time I was moving to clear all the dishes I heard him in my ear “Hi…”
