Chapter 5

"Well well well, turns out your 'I'll keep an eye on him' Worked really great, and thanks to that he knows everything, and I hate to say this but you and lucas are leaving for Garza tomorrow after your graduation"

Excuse me! How will lucas survive when he can't even shape shift? How will he get there by the way?

"With all due to respect my Alpha, you know that what you're saying is next to impossible! Right? There is no way Lucas is going to Garza and by the way how will he reach there?" He's not going to leave this place not in my watch.

"Yes. I'm aware of the fact that it is next to impossible. I'll personally drive you by car until you're a few miles away from garza and the rest is yours" 

"Isn't there something else like another option"

There is always an option right? All I want is anything except Lucas leaving.

"Like what?" Alpha asked.

"Like cleaning his memory" I blurt out before thinking of what I was saying.

"Great idea, but no. Believe I thought of that too, but the risks are high and I'm sure you don't want to face the consequences".

"Like?" I curiously asked

"Forgetting you perhaps" 

Oh that's worse.

"Excuse me. You know the person you're talking about is right here, right?" Lucas who have been quiet all the time spoke. Before he stood up and stormed out of the office.

"Lucas, Lucas please hear me out" I said running after him 

"Oh, now you want to talk?huh?" He paused and gave me the look that told me to leave him the hell alone and yeah everything I knew told me to do so but I just wanted a word with him.

"Please Lucas don't be like that" I said with a look of disappointment.

"Be like what? Like you? " 

"Lucas I just told you to figure out the difference between us and know that..." I started but he didn't let me finish.

"The difference between us Ava, is that you are selfish at times like these. You tend to forget who you are and how you got where you are. I feel like I don't know you anymore. I never regretted knowing you, this is my first time." He said before leaving me standing as if the lightening struck me.

"You know he didn't mean that" I heard the Alpha say from the office.

"This is your fault and if you'll excuse me, I believe I have a birthday party to attend" 

All I needed now was a serious party.

I went down stairs and all the way to the table reserved for me and pick up this really tall bottle I found there never bothering to check the name or ingredients all I know is there must be some alcohol. 

"Let's get this party started" I shouted as I opened the bottle and took one big gulp swallowing the liquid that burnt my throat all the way to my stomach. Lucas' words continued playing themselves in my head over and over again.

"The difference between us Ava, is that you are selfish at times like these. You tend to forget who you are and how you got where you are. I feel like I don't know you anymore. I never regretted knowing you, this is my first time." 

May be I'm the greatest disappointment in the history. At least that's a title, if I'm not that then I'm nothing. I'm the unknown girl.

As I sat sipping on my unknown drink highlights of my childhood memories with Lucas came to me. Just these adorable little kids running around, hiding, hugging and cuddling. I wish I could turn back the time but no, the moon goddess is not that generous to fulfill all my dreams.

"Never saw you drink " I had a masculine voice call out obviously trying to suppress the sound of the loud music.

"Well now you can see me" I'm not in the mood for some little chit chats.

"Yeah, I have eyes" he said and I did him an honor to spare a glance at him, Anderson the pack's playboy.

"So what" I asked

"It's just that I was wondering if you could do me the honor of dancing with me"

"Wow! Polite way of asking you got yourself a dance with the birthday princess" I said standing up.

He offered his hand and I gladly took it. I hate him but at this moment I couldn't care any less.

He took me to the dance floor and held me by the waist as we danced more like sway than dance and then one song became two and then three and before I knew my head was resting peacefully on his broad chest ,arm around his neck.

"Do you maybe want to go upstairs?" He offered

"Yeah sure I would love to" by this time the bottle in my hands was already empty and I didn't have time to take it to the nearest table nor did I have time to bend down and put it down so I just let it fall down and shatter into small pieces attracting the attention of a few wolves.

"Ops! Sorry" I said before walking straight to Anderson and taking him arm into mine and practically pulled him upstairs to his room not mine obviously.

"Some music please, some serious music. The dj down there was getting a little boring" I said as I removed the coat and shoes and went over to where he was trying to put on some music and gave him a hug from the back. Just then the music started playing and he turned around and stared directly into my eyes. 

He took me by the waist but hell to that I'm done with the dancing so I just initiated this kiss that had me dropped down his bed in less than ten seconds and he was kissing me mercilessly.

As if my hands had their own mind, I found myself ripping his shirt off and kissing his broad chest as he tried opening my dress but not my bra.

His hands went straight to my breasts cuffing them as he felt the material that made up my bra.

My dress was hanging dangerously low on my waist I'm not sure why he hasn't removed all of it.

Just then the door was pushed open.

"Gosh.Can't you see that the room is in use? "I said before claiming his lips again.

In fractions of a second Anderson was down with blood falling from his nose and that could only mean Lucas' punch.

"Lucas! What are you doing here?" I said as I quickly put my dress on and used my hand to tidy up my hair.

"Seriously Ava? The only solution is to throw yourself at boys? Anderson from them all" he asked in disbelief while looking at lucas with disgust. All I did was walk around the room to pick up my coat and shoes.

"For your own information, he offered going upstairs, so I didn't throw myself at him. You just don't believe that anyone could want me, that's how low you think of me? Well looks like some people really want my nobody girl ass" I said before leaving with my coat on my shoulder and shoes in both my hands.

A fight with my best friend! I mean ex_best friend.
