Dark kingdom

The begining chapter 1

"Kara Grey Vallas shall, by the king's decree, die by hanging. Let it commence. "The advisor who looked at the girl with a look of pity, but she knew she'll be fine. After all, death is just another adventure to face.

"Any last words, prisoner?"

She looked at the crowd. "My only mistake was leaving without finishing what I started." Chuckling to herself thinking about everything she had done.

The rope went around her slim neck. She looked forward at the world that she created, then...... Black.

I know what you're probably thinking: "what? That's it? Nothing else?" What type of story would this be if I just gave you all the juicy endings and especially with no beginning of how I got this Way. Well, let's go to the very beginning where everything began. I'll show you how I ended up like this.

There is a world called Earth, and on one part of the planet there's a place called California. A town named new hero is in the middle of the valley near the coastline, looking towards the ocean.

It's a small town, but it's a peaceful place to be.

No, a girl named Carl lives on a simple grassy plane near the mountainside a couple miles away from New hero in a two bedroom white and blue house.

Now to describe me. I would say I have long, wavy pitch brown hair with golden locks swirling through them, and a little strand braid on the right side of my head. And hazel eyes as bright as a clear Sunny sky. My skin isn't the best it's not too pale but not near a tan. It's kind of in the middle, sadly.

So is on this very day, August 23rd, 2010, that I would never forget. Little did I know the first minute I woke up my life would not be the same. I woke up as usual, to a pretty sunny day, birds chirping, the usual stuff. Then went to eat breakfast and get ready for a new adventure.

Everyday since my mom allowed me to go up to the mountainside and take the trails I'll lead to different things, like dead ends and other stuff, I've taken the advantage and go every chance I can to the swimming in a pond on one of the trails but this pond has a little waterfall that goes into it, something me and my best friend made. I usually go there to relax or get away from my normal schedule and go jumping or diving into the water. But anyways I grabbed my backpack and was halfway out of the door when my best friend Gale pops out of nowhere and scares the living nightmare out of me.

I can say I was folding for half a second.

"Gale you scared me jerk" I couldn't believe she started to laugh.

"Got you this time, you got to step up on your game" my first thought challenge accepted 

See, Gale is my best friend who I have known since I was in diapers. But unlike me who only knows some sword fighting and very little of hand to hand combat Gale here knows a lot about karate and boxing. She's like my other half I wish I had sometimes.

"Ready to go to the pond?"

I flipped my backpack around, poked my head and they are making sure everything was in there. "Yep, let's go swim tell her hearts are content." Admit I giggled a little thinking about it.

See, every time we go there, there's never anyone over there so it's always quiet and peaceful and so we usually find a tree really close to the pond and do stuff jumping off into the cool calm water.

I actually never gets old going there.

But back to the story we were halfway to the pond when we saw a deer. But it wasn't any normal dear it was a pure white male and had these huge great big antlers. Just as we saw a glimpse of it which I was kind of hoping to get a picture of the book, it ran off either scared of us or something else. After that little incident we finally got to our spot and did they usual stuff but everything down, got changed, then Gale somehow got on to the Rock before I even got up there. Oh let me tell you when Gale jumps she fool on jumps and I mean tidal wave coming your way be prepared. Of course as I go on the Rock she jumped and I ended up cold and dripping away it doesn't matter to me again. As long as we could swim, we were content.

I decided to do a cannonball but the weirdest thing is as I jumped into the water it turned from ice cold to pure hot the deeper I sank. 

I knew I could hold my breath for a couple of seconds so I kept going down but there didn't seem to be an end to how deep the pond was. Right as I gave up and began swimming to the surface, something grabbed my leg and started pulling me down. I tried to struggle but I was running out of air and my head was starting to pound. I heard someone's voice like vibrating through the water and I looked up and barely could make out Gales worried face diving after me. When she got to me I was about to pass out, until Lisa a glowing coming from underneath us. There was bubbles everywhere swimming up to the surface and all I felt and heard was Gale screaming it and me being sucked into the light.

Everything became black after that.........
