We wake up late the next morning and I am thankful we have the weekend off because this whole mate thing is really starting to mess with my head ugh I sigh in my head I just need to talk to someone about all this but there is no one if i tell my mum and dad I risk us moving which I really don’t want that to happened I love this town and I love my job I can’t tell jasmine because she knows nothing of this world and she will freak out if she knew ugh i just don’t know what to do i decide to get up washed and dressed i go in to jasmine kitchen to make myself some tea all these thoughts keep going round in my head but the only thing i keep thinking about is that I have to stay away from him I’m pulled out of my thoughts when jasmine comes in the room morning jas do you want to have a tea I say, yes please Nat I really need one after last night she said look Nat I’m really sorry for how i acted last night I think I had one too many to drink I turn around to listen to what she had to say it’s just for as long as ive known you have never had a boyfriend and there’s this hot guy who is clearly into you she said but he has a girlfriend I’m not going to be the other woman to my first boyfriend I sighed,
I’m sorry jasmine said, hey how about we go and grab some lunch I said to jasmine
Sure she said back, so we head into town to the best little cafe we grab a little booth in the corner and we both order a big fat fry up, we was too busy talking when we hear “fancy seeing you ladies here” we both turn our heads and notice my mate and his friend standing there with a grin on their faces I roll my eyes at them and say what do you want we’re trying to eat our lunch my mate laughs well this is the best cafe in town and we came to grab something to eat would he said, would you guys like to join us jasmine says and I glare her but she acts like she doesn’t see me, sure they say and take a sit next to us and I can feel my mates eyes burning into me so I look at him and say can I help you with something he laughs so we’ve met a couple of times now and you still haven’t asked me my name I glare at him and say maybe I don’t want to know your name and maybe just maybe I don’t want to know anything about you, it sounded harsh I know but I just didn’t want to get close to him because if I get close to him and l start learning things about him then the mate bond is going to get stronger and I cant risk that I cant risk him finding out about me, my name is Derek I heard him say that’s nice I glare back, come on Natalie it’s not going to kill you to get to know me is it, I look up at the door and say yeah it might out but she might he looks behind us and sees a steaming anger girl with her arms folded and tapping her foot on the ground looking our way he sighed and said to his friend we better get going and they both stand up putting some money on the table and make their way to the girl and grabbing the girl by her arm on their way out me and jasmine look at each other and laugh someone looks anger i say to her.
Derek pov- I grab Mels arm and drag her out the cafe once we are away from the cafe what the hell are you doing here Mel I haven’t seen you for a while it’s like you’re avoiding me she said I roll my eyes at her ive been busy not too busy to have lunch with them human girls she spit back what I do in my own time is down to me Mel I’m single your just a bit of fun every now and then I can tell that really hit the spot as it looks like steam is about to come out of her ears let’s get back to the pack house I say to both Mel and James we head to our cars and drive to the pack house where my gamma is waiting at the door for us alpha he say while his bowing his head as a sign of respect for me Karl how’s it going alpha that vampire Jensen keeps phoning he wants permission to come in to town I look at James didn’t he get the message last time that he got denied and them blood suckers are banned from coming in to my town James says yes alpha I gave him that message myself I look back at Karl tell him I said no I thought you would say that that’s why I told him no and explain why his not allowed to come to town but he won’t take the message and has ask for you to ring and tell him yourself my face hardens why does he want to come to town so badly there has to be a reason we all look at each other its time we start doing some research of our own.
