CHAPTER FIVE

Walking in this club it was empty only the bar attendant sorting out Drinks on the selves, “vodka please and a private room” he said then gestured the bar man with his fingers as he whispered something into his ears then the bar man nodded with big smile and then lead the way while Jackson followed behind.

The bar man walked into a room while Jackson stood outside, after a few minutes he came out and nodded for Jackson to go in.

“I am just a stripper I am afraid I can't help you Mr lee” Anna said with a smile as she did her makeup facing the mirror,

“How do you know you can't help me I haven't even spoken yet” Jackson replied with a wide smile.

“ I will only help you cause you are handsome , I wasn't close to Tracy so I know nothing about her “ Anna said smacking her lips as she rubbed her lip stick leaving Jackson in suspense when he started being inpatient. “ I know someone who is close to Tracy she can help you” Anna added spinning around to face Jackson with a lovely smile. “Thank you Anna” Jackson said kissing her hand “don't forget to come visit me sometimes” Anna said as Jackson walked out of the door.

Suddenly he remembered the night two days back, he wanted to ask Anna who took him home reaching for the doorknob, he change his mind and left instead walked to the bar attendant he gave him a tip, attendant collected it while smiling.

Jackson found out there was going to be a charity event, and the person he was looking for was going to be there, looking at the invitation given to him by Anna, he felt greatful to her he had everything planned out he just needed a plus one. Looking at his assistant who was about to go out after serving him coffee “Maria if you are free this Saturday I want you to accompany me to a charity event as my plus one?“ He asked freezing Maria in place “if you don't mind” he added bringing her back to her sences “sure sir “ she finally answered “good you can take a day thank you for your hard work… nice coffee anyways” he said closing his eyes to savor the taste of the coffee.

Maria walked to her desk still in daze sitting down she smiled foolishly, she wasn't going to lie she was over the moon, she was happy forgetting the fact he made her cry hours ago , where is girl who said she was going to move on? She totally forgot it.

All that matters is that she was happy, she was going to be his plus one maybe the heavens heard her cries and prayers so they dicided to make a way for her.

Picking up her things she left the office to prepare for the event, after getting out of the taxi she walked into a beauty shop after booking for a section she was taken to a hot suna she got into the water the hot, she immediately felt relaxed just then two women were gossiping and it immediately caught her interest.

“ Tracy had something they were looking for that's why she was murdered” one of the women said “but she was just a prostitute what can a prostitute possibly have that they wanted?“ then other woman asked confused while the nodded agreeing with her question because she couldn't think of a reason the beautiful woman was killed.

“Silly, she wasn't a regular prostitute, she wine and dined with the big shots of this city she only severed the big shots” the woman answered them as they moved to another topic.

Maria finally opened her they were filled with strange light and she gave a devilish smirk, then walked out of the room to make a call it's content no one knew.

coming back she got a masssage, manicure and pedicure, she also got a face treatment and face massage.

Now was time for her hair, she got her air treated and styled.

After that she walked into a*****e “does your offer still stands” she asked the manager with a smile refusing to look at his face.

“Embarrassed i knew you were going to come back, maybe I should charge you” the manager said with a laugh, “if you going to charge me then I am leaving” maria turned her back walking to door but when didn't hear the manager call her back she turned around to see the manager with a face written what now are you not leaving.

“Are you going to ask me come back?” maria asked you a confused face, manager shook his head while looking at her.

Maria came back smiling as she massage the Manager's shoulder while flattering him “I know I was wrong would you be the bigger person and let it go okay, you are favorite person” Maria said with big smiles.

“Okay that's enough. Take .this is for you” the manager said giving her a gift box and patted her head. “Thank you” Maria said smiling up to the man.

“So where are you going to?“ The man asked placing earrings on her ears,

“A charity event” Maria answered with her full of cake,

The manager pause his movement but continued but what he was doing “with who?“ He inquired “ my boss” Maria answered

“Jackson Lee “ he said looking at her meaningfully she looked down with guilty eyes.

“Have you told him?“ He asked looking at her with some pity.

“No. Peter. No he doesn't remember let's just let it be that way” Maria said trying to keep a carefree face but peter saw through her pain and hugged her comforting her.

Maria left the store, peter offered to take her home but she said she would take a taxi,he walked her to parking lot, he waved her goodbye as the taxi took off,

Poor girl he muttered to himself walking back into the store.
