CHAPTER SEVEN

1933,APRIL.

Painful cry of a woman could be heard while a man was outside the door, pacing panicking while maid walked out bowls dipped in blood seeing this the man grew anxious every passing second.

Savana had been in labor for five hours, and now she was bleeding Jamie was scared he was loosing his wife given her cries if agony.

Suddenly a cry if baby was heard and a mid wife came running announcing the birth of a boy, the whole masion was in joy,

“How is my wife?“ Jamie asked worriedly staring at the mid wife with hope his wife was fine, “master, madam is okay she just passed out because she is exhausted” Jamie sighbed in relief “but she lost alot if blood she won't be able to concieve again” the mid wife added looking down.

Jamie froze hearing the news he wasn't happy but he wasn't entirely sad either, giving the pain Savana has been through for the past five hours even though she didn't have that condition he wouldn't let her go through that pain of giving him child.

Soon the baby was brought out and given to him, he looked at the smiled and called him Alexander Texas.

Soon a grand party was held celebrating the new heir of Texas the party lastly for three day, and if the news was brought up the locals will say offcourse it's the Texas family no one does it like them.

Six years later

A doctor came out of the room of the head of Texas family, looking at the three pair of eyes staring at him, he shock his head with a sad look.

The head of Texas family had passed on that evening due to sickness his old age could cope he died the whole Texas masion mourned ranging from the master to the gardener all dressed in black, in respect of the old man.

Soon a funeral ceremony was held, many wealthy men even poor men came to give her condolences, Jamie his wife and 6years Old son received the guests.

On the day of burial, after saying the burial prayers everyone in the Texas masion was asked to bid farewell to the dead, Jamie took a spade putting a little bit of sand into the grave followed by his wife and child, then the servants, the old man was buried leaving the whole masion grey.

After the burial, Jamie inherited the masion and continued the family business soon everything in the masion was back to normal, Jamie sarted taking Connor to business gatherings and meeting since he have come of age to learn the family, he took riding, shooting and hunting clases even history classes and was thought language and trade exchange because he was the only heir to inherit the business after his father.

Present day

Holding a gift bag and a bunch of flowers, Jackson walked into Vegas speaking to the attendant he was shown where to find the person he was looking for.

“You came back sooner than I expected” Anna said with a laugh. Jackson smiled back handing her the flowers and gift bag. Anna collected it while leading him to the couch, “have you fallen in love with me and what to ask for a date?“ Anna joked blinking her eyes at him, Jackson laughed at her joke throwing his head backwards, they could joke around now they were considered friends, “it's just my appreciation, thank you for your help I booked an appointment”.

“What a gentleman” she teased.

After making a little talk Jackson left for his office.

Jackson was running through some documents when Maria came in “good morning sir, here is your coffee” Anna said with a smile Jackson looked at his little assistant with complicated gaze the guilte was eating him up, when he remembered the conversation he had with Anna.

“About that night…” Jackson was about to ask

“No it wasn't me it was your assistant you too drunk so I called your assistant she took you home” Anna interrupted him.

As Maria dropped the coffee leaving the door.

“Would you like to have dinner with me? Maria” Jackson asked gently.

“I don't mind sir” Maria answered then she walked out of the office, turning her back to Jackson she smiled widely thinking maybe he had finally noticed her and asked for a date maybe she would remind him who she is today on their date.

Maria checked her watch, Jackson had not arrived but she wasn't in a hurry, the private room opened but it was a waitress that walked in asking if she had any order yet but she no.

She sat for hours but Jackson never showed up she checked her watch it's was past 10 but no sign of Jackson was seen suddenly her phone rang picking up the phone a voice came from the other end. “I am sorry I have an emergency going can we have dinner some other time” before Maria could say I word the other person hanged up, Maria took the phone off her ears looking at it as tears walled up in her eyes, sniffing she picked up her bag and walked up to the counter and settled her bill walked out of the restaurant.

It started raining but Maria didn't mind, she walked in the rain no one knew if she was crying or not she didn't care if she fell sick are not, she just kept walking a black drove stopping next to her in the car a young man dressed in suite ran out with an umbrella shielding her from the rain, “miss you need to come back home to me” the man said playing with her wet hair “you know I have missed you Soo much” he added smiling sadistically, he raised her face with his two fingers he looked at her face “you don't want me to feel lonely do you” he asked this time with a sad face it's as if he was a whole different person,

“Took you Soo long to come get me” Maria finally said to him taking his hand she followed him to the car, and the car sped up leaving the umbrella in the rain.
