Sabrina.

I'm done being subjected to my father's cruel authority over my life. After my sister's wedding to Andrew, I will immediately begin my flight from the mafia. It makes no difference if the slightest touch from him sets off a chain reaction of events that shouldn't happen. That's just one more argument in favor of getting out of here. To make matters worse, my sister goes missing on the morning of her wedding, leaving me to stand in front of the priest while wearing her wedding attire. Alongside him. The man I had convinced myself I would never be able to have. The one who had the power to break me.

Andrew

I need to get married in order to keep the Frey family together. Despite the fact that I don't want a wife who will make my life more difficult, I'm drawn to this particular woman. When her sister finally escapes, there is nothing that can stop me from getting her. She will marry me in order to protect her sister, but who will protect her from me once we are married?

Chapter one
Andrew. The organ begins playing the wedding march, but the doors at the back of the church auditorium remain closed throughout the ceremony. The flower girl is seen standing by herself on the opposite side of the altar, and she is displaying signs of anxiety. The maid of honor is meant to be there with her, but the bride's older sister, Sabrina Alex, did not accompany her as she made her way down the aisle as she was supposed to. "What exactly is going on?" Tony, my brother and the best man at our wedding, has asked me. "Where is the maid of honor?" is the question. "I really don't know." The doors then open, and there is my future wife standing there alongside her father. She is not clutching onto his arm nor is she carrying her bouquet with her at this time. Even at the rehearsal, we did not come to the conclusion that this should be done. She starts off with one step, which is quite sluggish and halting, and then she takes two. Is it possible that I'm seeing things that aren't there? There is no way to make your dreams come true by wishing for them, yet the woman who is approaching me does not move like Serena. Even if she wears shoes with almost no heel at all, she still won't be tall enough. Although her veil conceals her bust line, I am well aware of her contours. Since I first saw them three months ago, they have never failed to excite me and frequently appear in my nightmares. They are not owned by the lady who gave me her word that we would get married. Sabrina, the absent maid of honor, is approaching me. It is not Serena who is walking toward me. The force with which Tony took a breath reveals that he is aware of it as well. My initial feeling is one of relief. I am not going to let my honor force me to marry a woman that I do not desire while at the same time lusting after her sister. Almost immediately after that sense of relaxation, rage sets in. Diego is attempting to con me by playing a game of "bait and switch." Me? Why? And what in the name of all that is holy does he think he's going to get away with insulting someone like that? My prospective father-in-law frequently believes that he is more intelligent than anybody else, but there is absolutely no way that he can imagine that I will not recognize that I married the wrong woman. Is he banking on the fact that I won't say anything because I don't want to make a fool of myself? Evidently, he thinks that I won't realize that Sabrina is there until after the vows have been exchanged. He thinks I'm a complete and utter moron. More importantly, why the devil would Sabrina want to participate in anything like this? The idea that she might try to trick me in some way infuriates me much more than the betrayal committed by her father. I remain silent as I watch my father-in-law and his eldest daughter dig themselves an ever-deeper hole with each dishonest move that they make. I know they are going to end up falling in it. Today was not supposed to be a "red wedding," but I have decided to take the life of one of my most trusted comrades. When the priest asks Diego, he confirms that he is going to give Niolla Alex to me in the holy bonds of matrimony. After that, he makes his way towards the front of the church and takes a seat there. That came very close to being clever. In keeping with the custom in his family, both of his daughters bear the first name Niolla; however, my future wife goes by her middle name, Serena, and it is the name by which she is known. Sabrina is the name of her sister. The treacherous little w***e who was positioned on the lowest step of the altar. It is expected of me to approach her and extend my hand in a guiding gesture as she climbs the stairs. No, I do not. She proceeds up the staircase one step at a time, as though the slight had no effect on her. She continues walking until she is standing immediately in front of me and does not stop when she is confronted by the priest. At that point, she pulls back her veil and pauses. Eyes of a hazel color that have turned green due to intense emotion contact mine. "It is very important that we talk." My initial assumption is that she is not intending to deceive me in any way. The second one originates from the large red mark that is located on her cheek. I am going to put an end to that son of a w***e's life. He f****d with her by hitting her. My vision is turning crimson as I experience rage on a level I've never felt before. I give the signal for six of my other guys to join us at the altar and build a wall to separate us from the wedding guests, who have begun talking amongst themselves. Every single one of them saw him try to con me into marrying his eldest daughter by pretending that she was my girlfriend. "Please let me get up there. I have to have a chat with the don. Put away your hands and go away from me. The behavior of Diego is becoming increasingly annoying. I send a signal to Luigi to tell him to hold him back. If he gets within striking distance, I will put him to death in front of too many witnesses to care about. Now Sabrina is avoiding eye contact with me by biting her lip and turning away from me. Her eyes first rest on my niece Neriah, who is three years old and is acting as the ring bearer, and then they move to the flower girl who is seated opposite from us. Both are twiddling their thumbs and fingers. She asks in a soft voice that her soft voice is straining, "Can we let the children go to their parents?" My brother takes care of it while I tilt my head back slightly. I intervene by saying, "You said you need to talk to me," which is a cue. She nods and then looks directly into my eyes once again, and I'm taken aback by the bravery of this frail-looking woman. She is determined to follow her own course, despite the fact that her father used physical force to coerce her into agreeing to his intentions. "You have to find a way to save Serena." That is not what I anticipate her to say in response to that. My muscles are getting stiff. "Had she been taken captive?" I ask. When was that exactly? "No." When Sabrina closes her eyes, it gives the impression that she is dreading the words that are about to come out of her mouth. "This morning, she managed to get away while I was still under the impression that she was in the other room getting ready." "How exactly do you expect me to be able to save her?" "To begin, someone needs to go and look for her. She is much too naive to be wandering about by herself." "I'm confident that your father has that under control." Sabrina gives a little bit of a head shake. "He has not yet dispatched any of his men to go after her." It seems like she is grateful for that particular aspect. This makes absolutely no sense in light of the fact that she asked me to find my abducted bride. Tony reveals his presence by saying, "He was too busy getting you dressed up to take her place," demonstrating that he had heard at least part of the conversation. "He was too busy getting you dressed up to take her place," Sabrina gives a shrug followed by a wince while keeping her body completely immobile. Is she hurt in any other part of her body other her face? She turns to me and asks, "Will you look for her?" I'm beginning to formulate a plan in my head. The answer is "maybe." "Oh." It appears that my lack of commitment brings her down. "You were the one who stated." She begins to speak, but her words trail off, giving the impression that she does not want to continue. My next statements are going to seem harsh since I am not a patient man. "And what else?" "What else?" "Are you able to give an order to my father telling him not to kill or beat her?" Sabrina glances at me with a charm that radiates from her eyes, her bottom lip getting additional punishment from her teeth. "Yes, it is possible for me under specific conditions." I put out my hand and gently pull her upper lip away from her teeth. "It is up to you whether I will or not," the speaker said. Her lovely eyes appear to be filled with confusion. "Me?" "You are correct. My wedding was supposed to take place today. There are going to be fifteen hundred guests here to witness my wedding. "Sabrina, I do not know if you have noticed this or not, but I do not have a bride." "Of course, I was aware of that. As a result of the fact that my sister has vanished, I have been forced to wear a wedding dress that is one size too small and three inches too long. It sounds like she's grumpy. "ran away," as you correctly stated. She shows a disapproving expression but nods in agreement. "Tried to escape." "From both myself and her commitment to marry me." I explain it to Sabrina in detail so that there is no room for speculation on how I evaluate Serena's behavior. Sabrina is once more biting her lip as she watches me, but in the end she nods her head in agreement. It's not like I need her approval or anything. We are both aware of the facts. Once more, I pull her upper lip away from her teeth, but this time I brush it off with my thumb. "Stop doing that! You're going to hurt yourself by doing that." Her lips split as she lets out a small sigh. I just can't stop myself—I run my finger over her lip once again. Even though things are difficult right now, I can see from the way her pupils dilate that she gets excited when I touch her. The fact that the attraction between us is so incredibly intense is the primary factor that led to my decision not to insist that Diego give her to me as my bride. I do not want a woman who will make my life difficult in any way. Nevertheless, it seems like that is exactly what I will be getting in the near future. If I were to tell your father to stop beating your sister, it would go against the traditions that we uphold as a family. Sabrina is aware of this, and I have no doubt that she is also familiar with the stance that my family takes against domestic abuse. My grandfather would not allow any men to work for him in positions of leadership if they were unable to keep their temper under control in their own homes. He was under the impression that if his capos, underboss, consigliere, and chief enforcer kept the violence that we faced on a daily basis away from their families, it would serve as a positive example for the guys who worked for them. The identical procedure has been followed by me. However, that is the maximum amount of intrusion that our traditions will tolerate from the don. "In my role as don, it is not appropriate for me to get involved in family business." "But she's engaged to you," you retorted. Doesn't that mean that she has a family now? I try to dissuade her from the idea that her sister is mine in any manner, shape, or form. "No, Sabrina, the moment she fled, Serena violated the arrangement that had been made between our families. No longer my fiancee, she broke off our engagement. "So, you won't be able to help?" Her eyes are filled with disappointment and cynicism. She had faith that I would protect her sister, and I shall do so. ...but at a cost. "There is a scenario in which I can provide complete protection for Serena, but in order for that to happen, I need something from you." Tony murmurs "finally" as he walks. "Finally," he says. I pay him no attention. "What?" She seemed to be genuinely perplexed. Even after I gave you some pointers. "I need a bride, and you're already wearing the dress, which, by the way, fits you perfectly," she said. "By the way, the dress is perfect for you." I let my eyes wander over her stunning breasts, which were accentuated so well by the bodice that was so closely fitted. In the future, she won't wear anything that exposes quite as much cleavage as she does right now, but for the time being, I'm reveling in the sight. The full skirt of the dress covers her luscious hips, but the fact that her attractive body is not on display for other people to see is another thing that appeals to me about it. "All right. If I try to walk while holding the skirt up, I'm going to tumble and fall on my face." She chooses to argue with my initial point, and in doing so, she completely disregards my comment regarding the necessity of having a bride. "Should I choose to make you my wife, the family business that you grew up in will become mine." I observe as the light of comprehension shines. Her facial expressions convey an overwhelming range of feelings, making it impossible for me to decipher which way she is leaning. She goes through a range of emotions, starting with relief and ending with reluctance. She adds, "I can't marry you," but her tone doesn't convey much conviction in her words. "Quite the opposite, in fact. You are able to, and you will, do it. Your clan owes me a wife, and I shall take you as compensation. To hell with yours. That phrase really gives off such a good vibe to me. "However, that won't fly with the law." I flash a grin, and whatever it is that she detects in the way that I express myself causes her eyes to enlarge. "Andrew De Paul and Niolla C. Alex are the people named on the marriage license. Everything will be fine as long as the priest uses your name when saying the vows and not the name of your sister. It should be noted that the civil and legal validity of the marriage is not dependent on the presence of a religious ceremony. The only things that are necessary are for both of us to sign the marriage contract in the presence of witnesses, and for the marriage record to be filed with the City Clerk's Office. The response was, "But you don't want to marry me." She seems almost frantic as she utters those words. I smile once more, despite the fact that I am a wolf. "Don't I?" "Don't You?" She responds, "Because you don't want to be embarrassed in front of all of these people," as if she has already figured out the situation. "Your father is the only one who will be made to feel ashamed if the wedding does not take place today," said the officiant. Your sister is going to be the one who ends up paying the most for this."
