Early morning.
Marian walks through the airport with a small backpack.
Dong-wook follows behind her, wearing sunglasses and a cap.
Jae-ho looks at him.
JAE-HO:
“Why are you wearing sunglasses indoors?”
Dong-wook doesn't answer.
JAE-HO:
“Are you trying to look mysterious?”
Dong-wook calmly replies:
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“I'm an actor.”
Jae-ho sighs.
JAE-HO:
“You're in the Philippines. Nobody here cares.”
Marian laughs.
MARIAN:
“Leave him alone.”
Jae-ho looks at her.
JAE-HO:
“You're already defending him?”
MARIAN:
“Of course.”
Dong-wook smiles proudly.
JAE-HO:
“Disgusting.”

— ON THE PLANE
Marian sits beside Dong-wook.
She looks nervous.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Are you scared?”

“A little.”

“Of meeting your grandmother?”
She nods.

“I've spent my whole life wondering who she was.”
Dong-wook gently holds her hand.

“Whatever happens, you're not alone.”
Marian smiles.

“Thank you.”
She rests her head on his shoulder.
A few seats behind them, Jae-ho watches.
JAE-HO:
“They're going to make me sick.”
Antonio laughs.

The group arrives.
The beautiful coastline looks peaceful.
Marian looks around.

“It's beautiful.”

“Maybe we can have a normal vacation after all.”
Marian looks at him.

“You really believe that?”
He thinks.

They laugh.

They travel to a remote coastal village.
An old wooden house sits near the sea.

She knocks.

She knocks again.

“Grandma?”
The door slowly opens.
Everyone becomes tense.
Inside is an empty room.
On the table is an envelope.
Marian picks it up.
Written:

Marian opens the letter.
Her grandmother's handwriting.
> “If you are reading this, I couldn't meet you.”
Marian's eyes fill with tears.

Dong-wook stands beside her.
She continues reading.
> “There are people watching the house.”
Everyone looks toward the windows.
MARIAN:
“She knew.”
The letter continues:
> “Do not trust anyone who followed you here.”
Everyone looks at one another.

Jae-ho looks at everyone.

“Who followed us?”
Marian looks at Jae-hyun.
He looks away.

“Why aren't you looking at us?”
Jae-hyun finally looks at his son.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Because I know who they are.”
Silence.
Marian steps forward.
MARIAN:
“Who?”
Jae-hyun answers:
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“The people who took your grandmother.”

MARIAN:
“Who are they?”
Jae-hyun looks at the ocean.

“They call themselves…”
He pauses.

CRASH!

“Everybody stay together!”
Marian takes down one attacker.
Another comes behind her.
Dong-wook blocks him.
MARIAN:
“Thanks.”

“Coffee later?”
She laughs.
MARIAN:
“If we survive.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Deal.”

A woman appears outside.
Elegant.
Calm.
She doesn't fight.
She simply watches.
Marian notices her.
The woman's eyes meet hers.
She smiles.
Marian suddenly feels something familiar.
MARIAN:
“Who are you?”
The woman turns away.
Marian runs after her.

Marian runs through the village.
Dong-wook follows.

“Marian!”
The woman moves quickly.
Marian catches up.
She grabs her arm.

She looks strangely familiar.
WOMAN:
“You have your grandmother's eyes.”
Marian whispers:

“You know my grandmother.”
The woman smiles.
WOMAN:
“I knew her very well.”

“Yes?”
He whispers:

“Don't find your grandmother.”
Marian freezes.

He takes a breath.
