Smoke fills the station.
Emergency alarms are ringing.
Marian coughs as Lee Dong-wook holds her close.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Marian! Are you hurt?”
MARIAN:
“No. I'm okay.”
He checks her arms and face anyway.
MARIAN:
“Dong-wook.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“What?”
MARIAN:
“I'm a doctor.”
He stops.
MARIAN:
“I can check myself.”
He looks embarrassed.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“I know.”
She smiles.
MARIAN:
“You were worried.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Very.”
She squeezes his hand.
MARIAN:
“I'm still here.”
He nods.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“That's all I need.”

SCENE 2 — JAE-HO'S DISCOVERY
Jae-ho searches the destroyed platform.
He finds a small piece of metal.
There is a black orchid symbol engraved on it.
Hye-jin approaches.
HYE-JIN:
“What is it?”
Jae-ho turns it over.
There is a number.
JAE-HO:
“17.”
Hye-jin's expression changes.
HYE-JIN:
“No.”
JAE-HO:
“You know it?”
She nods.
HYE-JIN:
“Room 17.”
JAE-HO:
“Where?”
Hye-jin looks toward the station exit.
HYE-JIN:
“An old underground facility.”

— THE MESSAGE
— ANTONIO'S OLD NOTE
Marian opens the flash drive they recovered.
There is only one video.
A dark screen.
Then her mother's face appears.
Marian freezes.
MARIAN:
“Mom...”
Her mother looks directly into the camera.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“Marian, if you're watching this, you're already old enough to know the truth.”
Marian begins crying.
Dong-wook puts his arm around her.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“Your grandfather will tell you what he knows.”
The video pauses.
Then another message appears.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“But there is one thing we never told anyone.”
Marian leans closer.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“You were not born by accident.”
Marian's eyes widen.

Marian's mother continues.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:

Marian whispers:

Dong-wook looks at Marian.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“They believed you would someday inherit something.”
The video cuts briefly.
Then returns.
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“Not money.”
A pause.

“Not power.”
MARIAN'S MOTHER:
“Knowledge.”

The video changes.
A photograph appears.
Marian's parents are standing beside another man.
Dong-wook recognizes him.

“My father.”
Marian looks at him.

“They knew each other.”
Antonio nods.
ANTONIO:
“They worked together.”
Dong-wook's expression becomes serious.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Why?”
Antonio answers:
ANTONIO:
“To destroy the Black Orchid from inside.”

Years earlier.
Dong-wook's father speaks to Antonio.

Antonio nods.

“And protect Marian.”
Antonio looks confused.
ANTONIO:
“Why Marian?”
Dong-wook's father looks serious.
DONG-WOOK'S FATHER:
“Because one day, she will become the person they fear most.”

Marian turns toward Antonio.

Marian remembers her childhood.
Her grandfather teaching her.
YOUNG MARIAN:
“Lolo, why do I have to learn this?”
ANTONIO:
“Because strength isn't about hurting people.”
He smiles.
ANTONIO:
“It's about protecting the people you love.”

Marian looks at Dong-wook.

His expression softens.

The group reaches an abandoned building.
Jae-ho opens an old steel door.
A staircase leads underground.
MARIAN:
“This place looks welcoming.”
Jae-ho smiles.
JAE-HO:
“Don't worry.”
Marian looks at him.
JAE-HO:
“It gets worse.”
She laughs.
Dong-wook looks at Jae-ho.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Stop encouraging her.”
JAE-HO:
“You've become boring since you fell in love.”
Dong-wook gives him a look.

They enter Room 17.
A projector turns on automatically.
A video appears.
Dong-wook's father.
Everyone freezes.
DONG-WOOK'S FATHER:
“If you're watching this, then Tae-sung has failed.”
Dong-wook steps closer.
DONG-WOOK'S FATHER:
“And if my son is there...”
He pauses.
DONG-WOOK'S FATHER:
“Dong-wook, I'm sorry.”
Dong-wook's eyes fill with tears.

“I didn't abandon you.”
Dong-wook whispers:

“I went undercover because Tae-sung discovered the final evidence.”
He looks directly at the camera.

“And the evidence was hidden inside someone he could never suspect.”
The video changes.
A photograph appears.
It's Marian.
Everyone freezes.
Marian stares at the screen.
MARIAN:
“Me?”

Suddenly Marian grabs her head.

She closes her eyes.

Back in Room 17—
The lights suddenly go out.
MARIAN:
“Everyone stay together!”
Gunfire erupts.
Dong-wook pulls Marian behind a wall.
Jae-ho fights back.
Hye-jin protects Antonio.
Marian sees an attacker approaching from behind Dong-wook.
She runs.
MARIAN:
“Dong-wook!”
She kicks the attacker away.
Dong-wook turns.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You okay?”
MARIAN:
“I'm fine.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“I told you to stay behind me.”
MARIAN:
“And I ignored you.”
He smiles.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“I know.”

During the chaos—
A smoke grenade explodes.
Marian loses sight of everyone.
MARIAN:
“Dong-wook!”
Someone grabs her.
She fights.
But another attacker injects something into her arm.
Her vision becomes blurry.
MARIAN:

She collapses.

A black vehicle leaves the building.
Dong-wook looks at it.

“Tae-sung.”

She laughs.
MARIAN:
“You kidnapped me.”
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“Technically, yes.”
Marian looks around.
MARIAN:
“Where's Dong-wook?”
Tae-sung smiles.
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“Coming for you.”
Marian's expression becomes confident.
MARIAN:
“I know.”

Tae-sung places her necklace on the table.

Tae-sung smiles.

Marian's expression hardens.

“Then you'll never get it.”
Tae-sung laughs.

“You sound exactly like your mother.”
Marian stands.
MARIAN:
“And that's your problem.”

ACT 20 — DONG-WOOK'S PROMISE
Meanwhile—
Dong-wook stands outside the building with Jae-ho.
JAE-HO:
“We don't know where he took her.”
Dong-wook looks toward the city.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“I'll find her.”
JAE-HO:
“Dong-wook.”
He turns.
JAE-HO:
“If we go after her without a plan, we might not come back.”
Dong-wook's voice is calm.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Then make a plan.”
Jae-ho smiles.
JAE-HO:
“There he is.”
Dong-wook looks at him.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“What?”
JAE-HO:
“My brother.”
They clasp hands.

— THE CALL
Dong-wook's phone rings.
He answers.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Tae-sung.”
Tae-sung puts the phone on speaker.
Marian is sitting across from him.
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“You want Marian?”
Dong-wook's voice becomes cold.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Let her go.”
Tae-sung smiles.
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“Come alone.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Where?”
Tae-sung gives him an address.
Then—
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“And Dong-wook?”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“What?”
Tae-sung looks at Marian.
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“Bring the necklace.”
The call ends.
Marian looks at Tae-sung.
MARIAN:
“You're making a mistake.”
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“Why?”
She smiles.
MARIAN:
“Because you kidnapped a doctor who knows martial arts.”
Tae-sung laughs.
HAN TAE-SUNG:
“You're funny.”
Marian's smile disappears.
MARIAN:
“No.”
She looks directly at him.
MARIAN:
“I'm dangerous.”

Jae-ho approaches.

“Ready?”
Dong-wook looks at him.

“I'm bringing her home.”
Jae-ho nods.

“Then let's go.”
Dong-wook looks at the city lights.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Marian.”
He whispers:
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Wait for me.”
Cut to Marian.
She looks toward the window.
She whispers:
MARIAN:
“I know you will.”
