The room is silent.
Marian stares at the man standing beside Victor Salazar.
Lee Jae-hyun.
The father she believed was dead.
Dong-wook can barely speak.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Dad…”
Jae-hyun looks at his son.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“It's been a long time.”
Dong-wook takes a step forward.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You died.”
Jae-hyun shakes his head.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“I wanted you to believe that.”
Dong-wook's expression hardens.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You let me mourn you?”
Jae-hyun looks away.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“I had no choice.”
Marian interrupts.
MARIAN:
“Enough.”
Everyone looks at her.
She looks directly at Jae-hyun.
MARIAN:
“You're my father?”
Jae-hyun slowly nods.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Yes.”
Marian's eyes fill with tears.
MARIAN:
“Then why did you leave me?”

— THE ANSWER
Jae-hyun looks at Seo-yeon.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Because your mother and I made a promise.”
Seo-yeon looks down.
MARIAN:
“What promise?”
Jae-hyun answers:
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“To make sure you never became part of our world.”
Marian laughs bitterly.
MARIAN:
“And how did that work out?”
Nobody responds.
Marian looks around.
MARIAN:
“Everyone lied to me.”
Dong-wook walks toward her.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Marian…”
She looks at him.
MARIAN:
“I don't know who to trust anymore.”
He gently takes her hand.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Trust me.”

— FATHER AND SON
Dong-wook turns toward his father.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You erased my memories.”
Jae-hyun nods.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Yes.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You made me forget Marian.”
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“I did.”
Dong-wook's voice becomes cold.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You had no right.”
Jae-hyun looks at him.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“I know.”
Dong-wook's eyes fill with tears.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Then why?”
Jae-hyun answers quietly:
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Because if you remembered her, Victor would have killed you both.”

— VICTOR'S PLAN
Victor steps forward.
VICTOR:
“Enough family drama.”
Marian looks at him.
MARIAN:
“You brought him here.”
VICTOR:
“Yes.”
MARIAN:
“Why?”
Victor smiles.
VICTOR:
“Because Jae-hyun knows how to activate the original Black Orchid system.”
Ramon suddenly becomes nervous.
RAMON:
“No.”
Victor looks at him.
VICTOR:
“You remember, Ramon.”
Ramon grips his cane.
RAMON:
“That system was destroyed.”
Victor laughs.
VICTOR:
“Your grandfather thought it was.”

— THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM
Victor walks toward the central computer.
VICTOR:
“The original Black Orchid wasn't just an organization.”
He touches the console.
The entire room lights up.
VICTOR:
“It was an information network.”
Marian watches screens appear.
Names.
Bank accounts.
Locations.
Secret files.
VICTOR:
“It could control governments, criminal networks, corporations…”
He looks at Marian.
VICTOR:
“…and people.”
Marian looks disgusted.
MARIAN:
“And you want me to control that?”
Victor smiles.
VICTOR:
“I want you to inherit it.”

— MARIAN REFUSES
Marian walks toward the console.
MARIAN:
“No.”
Victor's smile disappears.
VICTOR:
“No?”
Marian removes the black orchid ring.
She places it on the console.
MARIAN:
“I don't want your organization.”
Victor steps toward her.
VICTOR:
“You don't have a choice.”
Marian looks him straight in the eyes.
MARIAN:
“Everybody keeps telling me that.”
She smiles.
MARIAN:
“I'm starting to get tired of it.”

— THE FIRST ATTACK
Victor suddenly signals his men.
They attack.
Dong-wook immediately moves in front of Marian.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Stay behind me.”
Marian raises an eyebrow.
MARIAN:
“Seriously?”
He looks at her.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Yes.”
She steps beside him.
MARIAN:
“No.”
Dong-wook smiles.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Of course.”
They fight together.

ACT 8 — FATHER AND SON FIGHTING TOGETHER
Jae-hyun joins the fight.
Dong-wook sees him.
For a moment, they fight side by side.
Jae-hyun blocks an attacker.
Dong-wook knocks another down.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“You still lead with your left shoulder.”
Dong-wook looks at him.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“You still criticize me while I'm fighting.”
Jae-hyun smiles.
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Some things don't change.”
Dong-wook almost smiles.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Don't get sentimental.”

— MARIAN'S MARTIAL ARTS
Two attackers approach Marian.
She takes a defensive stance.
One attacks.
She dodges.
Another attacks.
She blocks.
She remembers her grandfather.
GRANDFATHER'S VOICE:
“Never fight because you're angry.”
Marian breathes.
She calmly defeats both attackers.
Hye-rin watches proudly.
HYE-RIN:
“She finally understands.”
Seo-yeon smiles.
SEO-YEON:
“She always did.”
- — THE SECRET DOOR
Jae-ho discovers a hidden passage.
JAE-HO:
“There's another room!”
Everyone moves toward it.
Victor becomes angry.
VICTOR:
“No!”
He runs toward the door.
Marian stops him.
MARIAN:
“What are you afraid we'll find?”
Victor doesn't answer.
Marian opens the door.

— THE CHILDREN'S ROOM
Inside is a small room.
Photographs cover the walls.
Marian as a baby.
Dong-wook as a child.
Their families together.
Marian touches one photograph.
It shows young Marian and young Dong-wook holding hands.
Underneath:
> THEY MUST NEVER REMEMBER.
Dong-wook stares.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“They planned this from the beginning.”
Marian nods.
MARIAN:
“Yes.”

— THE OLD VIDEO
A screen activates.
Young Jae-hyun appears.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“If our children ever find this…”
He pauses.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“Then we failed to protect them.”
Marian watches.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“Marian and Dong-wook were never enemies.”
Dong-wook looks at her.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“They were the key to ending everything.”

— THE TRUE PURPOSE
Young Jae-hyun continues.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“The Black Orchid survives because people fear it.”
The screen shows the two children.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“But if two people from opposing bloodlines chose love instead of hatred…”
The screen freezes on Marian and Dong-wook.
YOUNG JAE-HYUN:
“…the organization would lose its power.”
Marian whispers:
MARIAN:
“Us.”
Dong-wook understands.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Our relationship was part of the plan.”
Marian looks at him.
MARIAN:
“But our love wasn't.”
He smiles.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“That part was ours.”

— THE ROMANTIC MOMENT
Marian reaches for his hand.
MARIAN:
“Then I'm glad we chose each other.”
Dong-wook looks at her.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Me too.”
He gently touches her cheek.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Even if our families are completely insane.”
Marian laughs.
MARIAN:
“That's an understatement.”
They kiss.
Jae-ho suddenly clears his throat.
JAE-HO:
“Sorry.”
They separate.
JAE-HO:
“But we're still being hunted.”
Marian laughs.
MARIAN:
“Right.”

— THE BETRAYAL
Suddenly—
BANG!
Ramon shoots the control panel.
Everyone turns.
MARIAN:
“Ramon?”
Ramon looks at her.
RAMON:
“I'm sorry.”
Jae-ho raises his weapon.
JAE-HO:
“You betrayed us.”
Ramon shakes his head.
RAMON:
“You don't understand.”
He looks at Victor.
RAMON:
“I had no choice.”
Victor smiles.
VICTOR:
“He always comes back to me.”

— RAMON'S SECRET
Marian approaches Ramon.
MARIAN:
“Why?”
Ramon looks heartbroken.
RAMON:
“Victor has my grandson.”
Marian's expression softens.
RAMON:
“He promised he'd let him go.”
Victor smiles.
VICTOR:
“I never promised that.”
Ramon realizes the truth.
RAMON:
“You lied.”
Victor nods.
VICTOR:
“Of course.”

Victor turns toward Marian.

“You are the only person who can activate the final system.”
Marian looks at the console.

Marian freezes.
MARIAN:
“Where?”
Victor points beneath them.
VICTOR:
“Right below us.”

— THE FLOOR OPENS
The floor suddenly shakes.
A massive hidden elevator appears.
Everyone stares.
Victor steps inside.
VICTOR:
“Come with me, Marian.”
She refuses.
MARIAN:
“No.”
Victor presses a button.
A screen appears.
A young boy is tied up somewhere.
Ramon's grandson.
Ramon cries.
RAMON:
“Please…”
Marian looks at Victor.
MARIAN:
“Let him go.”
VICTOR:
“Come with me.”
Dong-wook grabs Marian's hand.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“We'll get him back.”
Marian nods.

— THE DESCENT
Marian, Dong-wook, Hye-rin, Seo-yeon, Jae-ho and Jae-hyun enter the elevator.
Victor stands opposite them.
The elevator descends.
Deeper.
And deeper.
Nobody speaks.
Then Dong-wook whispers:
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Are you scared?”
Marian smiles.
MARIAN:
“Yes.”
He squeezes her hand.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Me too.”
She looks at him.
MARIAN:
“Good.”
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Why?”
MARIAN:
“Because we're both idiots.”
He laughs.

— THE UNDERGROUND CITY
The elevator stops.
The doors open.
Everyone is stunned.
Below Manila is an enormous underground facility.
Old buildings.
Training rooms.
Computers.
Storage rooms.
It looks like an entire hidden city.
Jae-ho whispers:
JAE-HO:
“How long has this been here?”
Jae-hyun answers:
LEE JAE-HYUN:
“Almost forty years.”
Marian looks at Victor.
MARIAN:
“This is what my grandfather built?”
Victor smiles.
VICTOR:
“No.”
He looks at her.
VICTOR:
“He built it for you.”

— THE FINAL COMPUTER
They enter the central chamber.
A giant screen activates.
It scans Marian.
SYSTEM:
“IDENTITY CONFIRMED.”
Everyone watches.
SYSTEM:
“DRAGON BLOODLINE.”
Marian looks frightened.
SYSTEM:
“SUCCESSOR ACCEPTED.”
Victor smiles.
VICTOR:
“Now sit.”
Marian looks at the chair.
Then at Dong-wook.
He doesn't tell her what to do.
He simply says:
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“Whatever you choose…”
He smiles.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“I'll be beside you.”

— THE CHOICE
Marian slowly walks toward the chair.
She sits.
The system activates.
Screens appear everywhere.
SYSTEM:
“CHOOSE AUTHORITY.”
Two options appear:
CONTROL THE BLACK ORCHID
DESTROY THE BLACK ORCHID
Marian looks at both.
Victor whispers:
VICTOR:
“Choose control.”
Hye-rin says:
HYE-RIN:
“Choose your heart.”
Seo-yeon says:
SEO-YEON:
“Choose your future.”
Dong-wook says nothing.
He trusts her.
Marian smiles.

Marian places her hand over the screen.
MARIAN:
“I choose…”
She pauses.
Suddenly, the system flashes red.
SYSTEM:
“WARNING.”
Everyone freezes.
SYSTEM:
“THIRD OPTION AVAILABLE.”
Victor's face changes.
VICTOR:
“No.”
A third button appears.
ERASE EVERYTHING
Marian stares at it.
Dong-wook steps closer.
LEE DONG-WOOK:
“What does it mean?”
The system answers:
SYSTEM:
“ERASE ALL BLACK ORCHID DATA, IDENTITIES, ASSETS AND COMMAND STRUCTURE.”
Marian looks at Victor.
Then at her mothers.
Then at Dong-wook.
She smiles.
MARIAN:
“I know what I'm choosing.”
She reaches toward the third option.
Victor suddenly shouts:
VICTOR:
“DON'T!”
Marian presses it.
SYSTEM: ERASURE INITIATED.
The entire underground facility begins shaking.
Victor screams.
VICTOR:
“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!”
Marian stands.
MARIAN:
“I ended it.”
Then the lights go completely dark.

NEXT EPISODE — “THE LAST BLACK ORCHID”
The Black Orchid begins to collapse, but destroying its system has awakened something even more dangerous beneath Manila. Marian and Dong-wook become trapped underground with their families while Victor desperately tries to reverse the destruction. And Marian discovers that her grandfather left one final secret specifically for her—and it has nothing to do with the Black Orchid.
