Chapter 12. Girls Night Out

     When the girls plan a girls night out they go all out.  It always starts in the middle of the afternoon.  They are always up all night talking, listening to music, and giggling.  Lots of giggling.  Earlier in the week they had got word that Elizabeth and Lawerence were surfacing again for the weekend.  More talk that something was going to happen.  Though they had no idea who, what, where, when , or why.  So until it happened they just had to wait it out.

     That was okay with the girls.  What that meant was 2 more girls to add to their party night.  Well their all day and night.  Willow had already invited Lacey and picked up 5 tickets to the Poison, Joan Jett, and Ratt Concert.  That was where their night would end unless they decided to go clubbing. afterwards.

     Elizabeth and Lawerence made it in around 8:00 a.m.  Gina and Ginger showed up at 10:00a.m.  The girls had hot curlers, curling irons and hair dryers plugged up all over the room.  Miranda Lambert music pouring out of the speakers.

     “Does anyone want any special snacks?”  Willow was actually yelling over the music and the girls banter.  “I'm going to grab some chips, dips, cookies, and cokes.  Is that okay with everyone?”

     They all looked over at Willow.  All they did was shake their heads and carried on with their conversations.  Willow came in with her tray snacks piled high.  They had around an hour before they had to leave for the skating rink.  The sessions for the day starts at 2:00p.m.  They normally would have done it at night.  Since the concert was that night they were just going to make it a daytime thing. They do that every once in a while if somethings going on with them at night.  

    They all couldn't wait for the concert.  It was all they could talk about.  We'll get to hear some of the musuc at the rink before we even go. 

     "Are we going to eat somewhere before we go?" Ginger asked.

      "I think we should," Gina replied.

      "How about we take Lacey and Elizabth and show them our favorite pizza place.  

     "Crystals,"  all three of the girls said at one time.  

     "Sounds good to me,"  Elizabeth said, "I don't hardly ever get to go anywhere.  Pizza sounds good to me."

     "Okay then we're all set.  Is everyone ready?"  It seemed like everyone of them had to look in the mirror before taking off.

     "What are Levi and Lawerence going to do?"

     "They are watching my bird for one thing,"  Elizabeth said.

     " I think the guys are coming over later to visit them.  Hang out snd watch movies or something."  Gina said.

     "Okay well let's get going.."  Willow said.  

     The girls all loaded up in the car.  Elizabeth had went to say her goodbyes to Lawerence.  Soon she was back and hopped in the car and then they were ready to head out.  When they pulled up at the rink there was a line out the door.  

     "I didn't think to ask you guys of you had ever seen any of the bands before?"

     " No I haven't.  Lawerence and I lived here before we went to Fairyland.  We listen to them at home on the radio."

     " Have either one of you ever bern to a concert?" Both girls shook their heads no.

      "Oh you are going to love it then.  Please tell me you've been skating before."  

      "Yeah," both girls answered at the same time.

     They were almost to the beginning of the line.  They paid their money.  The gorls made their way to the skate counter.  Lacey and Elizabeth needed skates.  Ginger, Gina, and Willow already had skates.  They were tennis shoe skates.  They had a metal plate that held the tennis shoes and 4 wheels.  

     The girls stepped out on the floor.  The song "I Love Rock -N- Roll came on. 

      "This is one tbe the bands we are going to see tonight."

     "I've never heard this one before."  Elizabeth said.

     " Oh you're going to love them.  They are really good. So which bands have you heard of?"

     " We have listened to Poison."  Elizabeth said.

      "I've heard some of Ratt." Lacey commented.

    The girls finally could hardly hear each other with the music pouring out of the huge speakers.  

     "So what have you guys been up to since you returned home?" 

      "  What we do is sometimes boring we just watch the sheets go passed to make sure nothings off."  

     There were these five guys that were paying close attention to the girls.  They weren't even paying attention to them.  The girls were lost in the music and just being together again.  Besides that they all already had a man.  A man was the last thing on their mind.  The were just enjoying all of them being together again.  They got off the floor to go have a cigarette and order a beer.  

     "So are you and Lawerence married?  I noticed the ring."

      "Yeah.  We've been married 5 years now.  We got married and then they needed Lawerence below.  So we've lived most of our married life as Faries.  Which we like it don't get me wrong, but we've decided to come and see the world at least every few weeks."  Elizabeth answered Willow's question.

     "That sounds cool. You can always come hang out with us."  Willow replied. "You've been at our house we've always got room for extras."  The guys were still there now across the room.  Watching them and whispering.  Tbe girls thought nothing about it.

     They played one last song for couples and backward skaters only.  So the girls got on the floor and turned around.  They were all pretty good at skating backwards.  Lacey was kinda shaky.  You could tell she was the weakest. She made it though.  After the last song finished they exited the floor and went over to remove their skates.  The.guys that were watching them had already exited the rink to their car.  They were waiting to follow the girls to their next destination.

      The girls hopped in the car laughing.  Then they were on their way to Crystals on 21st and Sheridan.  When they went in their were waterfalls and caves lit up.  The girls picked a place to set.

     The server came over and they ordered.  Willow lit a cigarette and waited on her beer to get there.  

      "So is everyone excited about the concert.  I like the fact it is going to be outside at Wicken's Corner.    I think I like the outside concerts better."

     After about 30 minutes the food arrived.  They had plenty of time to eat before they had to leave and make the concert.  They all ate in silence.  It had been around two hours from the time they sat down until they finished.  

     Now they had to make their way to downtown so that they could see the concert.  It took at least 30 minutes to park and about 10 minutes to walk to where the concert was going on.  They got lost easily into the crowd of people.  The five guys that had been following them couldn't find them.  So their night was over.  They decided to get in their car and find someone to scare the life out of first before they drained their blood.

      Poison opened up with "Look What The Cat Dragged in".   While Poison played the girls walked around to see if they could find some cool shirts.

     Willow got one that had Joan Jet on the front and three hearts on the back that said The Black Hearts. On the front it said Joan Jett I Love Rock -N- Roll.  Willow like alot of her music that never even hit the radio.  Joan Jett came on after Poison.  She did I Hate Myself For Loving You.  She also did Nag and Little Liar. 

    Then Ratt closed it.  Their music from Out Of The. Cellar was what they played.  I Want A Woman.  Round And Round just to name a couple.

     Once the concert was over the girls were tired.  So they decided to skip the club and head back to the house.  It sounded like the guys were going to be there with Lawerence and Levi.  The girls couldn't wait to see them..  Their girls night out wasn't ever as fun anymore after they met them.  All they wanted to do is be with them.  Even though they seen them everyday of the week.  Tonight the guys had some type of Dragon meeting.

     It didn't bother the girls because they had to go below sometimes and it left the guys with a guys night.  They were just glad they would all be there together again.

     "Will your Dad care that we're all here?"  Elizabeth asked.  

      "No.  He'll just be glad I'm not depressed.  It was hard when you all left.  I was used to everyone being here.  It's not ya'lls fault you had to go back and then things went back to normal and just being alone in this big old house was harder than I realized it was."

  "Well we're all here for the weekend so let's go find our men and decided what we're going to do with them."  Gina said.

     "Yeah I guess our girls night out is going to end early.  It's Okay with us all 5 girls said in unison and then they turned the door knob.
