Chapter4. Sneaking In Alone Time

"Those fireworks are just part of the magic that wasn't opened up to you before but now our world will turn into your own playground. There is so much for you to see. I want to always be there with you and see life through your eyes like right now the fireworks." Smokey said looking down at her tenderly.

"Does that happen when all couples kiss? Has it ever happend to you before? I guess that's really what I am trying to ask."

"You can always ask me anything babe and I'll tell you how it is. What you see is exactly what you get. So do you like what you see? To answer your question no it's never happend to anyone I've heard of and no it's never happend to me. i've never kissed anyone else with as much passion as that kiss we just shared. Now you answer my question do you like what you see?"

She couldn't help but blush. She could feel her face heating up. She knew her cheeks were bright red. "You mean you couldn't tell by all the looks the last few months? There had to be some flirting that was recognized or was I too subtle?"

"Sometimes I thought maybe. I was never quite sure. I was just second guessing myself. You might not get this vibe from me but I've been a little self conscious since I knew we were starcrossed lovers, soulmates, whatever you choose to call us. I've known since the first time our eyes met. So I've just sat back, by'd my time, and waited.

Haven't you even noticed that I haven't had a girlfriend since the ninth grade. Since I met you."

"I never thought about it. I am so into you. So into making you mine. I guess all the little things went right over my head."

I've always been here in the background. I would have tried for you before now there was just too many secrets and I couldn't think of a way that you could possibably understand the kind of love that we are meant to share." Smokey said with his hand tilting up her chin so that they were eye to eye.

"No I understand completely why you couldn't tell me. That doesn't change the way I feel about you. I'm just glad you waited on me. Two and 1/2 years is a long time to wait on somebody."

"No not in my eyes I could have waited forever it that's what it would have taken. Now we can love each other by letting our feelings go wild. I'm sure you will appreciate it more whe you can turn loose the Fairy inside of you too or it would have just been one sided and that wouldn't have been fair to you or my dragon.

"No I suppose it wouldn't have." she replied quietly thinking.

"What are you thinking?"he asked her.

"I know you've had a long time to think about what's going on in our lives, but me, my head is swarming. It's alot to take in. Not bad really just exciting.

He swept a peice of hair off of her face and then he wrapped her in his arms and kissed her deeper than the first time.

As this kiss rocked through her body they could both feel their fate being sealed. Now there would never be another for either one of them. They would be able to handle the strength of each others feelings now that she was part of this magical world too. Mythological creatures tend to have stronger feelings than most humans which is why few humans can survive their world.

" Lets change right here and go fly. I want you to know what it feels like to be open and free," Smokey told her.

"I don't know. I haven't learned how yet. I'm kinda scared," She said turning her face away from him.

"Look at me, he said. "You have nothing to be afraid of. I'll help you First, I'll give you a ride. Then we'll see how you feel when we're done."

I don't know how to change into my Fairy on demand."

"Oh that's easy. Just Concentrate on her and will her out. Twilight isn't it?"

"Yes that's right. How did you know that?" she asking inquizitly. I don't remember telling you her name?"

My dragon, Fearless, has been asking around. He'd be honored to give you a ride on his back."

"Okay here goes." she closed her eyes and put all of her power into her. When she opened them Fearless was towering over her. He leaned his head down to her. Then he thought, "Just throw one leg over and hold onto my neck."

She could hear him in her mind loud and clear. She climbed on and held on tight.

He took off and when he had her he soared. She closed her eyes and just let the way she was feeling seep in. It was amazing flying. He was right you felt so free. She had never let go this much in her human life. She couldn't even think straight. It was as if the feeling was filling up her mind and she loved it. Most of the time she thought to long, and she thought to hard, and it was exhausting. Not being able to think about anything and just feel through her thoughts was thrilling.

He could feel her on him and he was overcome with a wave of love so strong. He could feel them linking up in every way. He found a safe place to land and then he grounded them.

She was in his homeland now. She opened her eyes and looked around. The water was bright red, orange, and yellow. It looked like a fire was burning on top of it and the steam made it look mystical. She had been here before. It was in the daylight though and the lake looked normal during the day. The name of the lake was Mystery Lake It's nick name was Firey Lake and now she knew why. She loved it. Now she was seeing the world through him. There was so much pride in his eyes. He was proud of where he came from and now he could share one of his favorite places with her. Her heart swelled from the love he was showing her tonight.

" Would you like to try now. It doesn't have to be perfect. I know this is your first time. Try not to go up so far in the beginning until you get your landing down. Just go up and forward. Your arms, wings, and legs will guide you. It's something like swimming just think about the movements you want to make and then see it through with your mind. Now begin to move your wings up and down."

She did as he instructed and her mind began to think,"Fly, Fly, Fly." When she opened her eyes she was doing it. Her feet were off the ground. She remembered what he said about leaning foward she began to go straight ahead. She was doing it slowly but surely. It felt so great. She didn't go to far. She landed it perfectly.

He was just watching her take her first flight and he could feel the love in his heart as it was filling up. He couldn't wait to watch her experience all this life had to offer, But tonight is off in the amount of time he would have liked to spend with her. Every one would be looking for her at her party soon. He had probably taken to much time away with her as it was. They had their whole life ahead of them to experience new things.

" We've got to get back. He told her to climb on and he would get them somewhere that they could change back privately.

They landed and before she could even get a thought out they were back to being teenagers.

"That was so great," she said to him, "Thank you."

"You don't have to thank me I loved it all. Taking you on my back. Watching you take off for the first time. Flying by your side. It was just as much a thrill for me as it was for you."

"Hey," she said, "I have something for you." She reached down under the cabinet behind the bar and pulled out his present. She turned around and handed it to him. Then he reached in his pockets. He had so many he was wearing his camo pants today. First he had a Cameo necklace for her that would fit her no matter which size she was. Compliments of Gina and Ginger. On one side of the locket was her and on the other Twilight. "How did you know what she looked like?" That part was easy Fearless and Twilight have been talking. Every night after we crash out. That's why they haven't been up much during the day lately. They've been spending more time together. With it getting close we've all been walking on egg shells. Not wanting to put a foot in one of our mouths. That's not all I also bought you he pulled out a little black box. He opened it. It's just a promise ring for now. My promise to you is that I'll always be by your side. No matter what tries to rock us. It reminds me of that song, If the Bones Are Good. That will be us our foundation will be so strong it will be impossible to break. Thank you Smokey she put her arms around his neck and looked up at him with those bright blue eyes. He just melted. He put his hand on her cheek bone snd kissed her sgain like it was the first time all over again. "Thank you for my gifts too," he said. "I was wanting to try this Author out I heard she is really good. Tambra Satoe."

"If you like her she has two more books on line that you can read." Willow said. They had been buying each other gifts since they found out they had the same birthday. He had slipped the ring onto her finger. No one knew that was going to be one of his presents to her a ring. They all knew about the necklace because the girls made them. He helped to slip it onto her too.

Author's Note: Your first real love the one that only comes around once in a lifetime. You remember that person his-her's scent, their kiss, and there in your heart is where you will always keep them. I remember it being a scary exciting rollar coaster ride. So I can relate to these two characters well. I hope you can too.
