“Lay down the planks!” ordered major Morris. Immediately the soldiers rushed into the swamp and laid down metal planks near the green pool of water. At the press of a single button, the planks connected with each other and formed a wide steel bridge connecting the island to the other end. The men in the Armageddon suits could now easily cross the water body. The foot soldiers followed close behind.
Alex was still in shock. He wept bitterly clinging on to his brother’s body. Margaret decided to stay behind to console him.
