Chapter 4

Another day had passed, and Eloise had stubbornly remained in the basement. She refuses to do what they want and lives another day to satisfy their monstrous ego.

What does she have to live for anyway? She was practically humiliated. Her image is ruined, and her family abandoned her because of it. Live, and then what? Suffer in the hands of the Newtons? No. She'd rather die.

Especially not after the terrible thing they did to her last night.

Eloise had fallen asleep after spending the whole day crying and wallowing in self-pity. She couldn't believe that her parents would abandon her because of the lies told by her tormentors. They didn't even try to listen to her side, and they blindly believed what Jinx told them.

She woke up to vulgar sounds coming right outside her door, and when she opened her swollen eyes, she saw shadows moving under the door. It took her a while to realize what was happening or who was there.

Her liar of a husband and his w***e were having s*x right outside her door. She could hear their scandalous moans and the disgusting sound of their bodies meeting each other.

Eloise tried to block out the sound by covering her ears as best as she could, but her effort was futile because the two people outside were purposely displaying it without regard for her feelings.

She bit her lower lip until it bled, her nails scratching the dirty floor with her screams hidden in her throat. She wanted to shout and scream profanities at them, but she couldn't find her voice.

"Oh, Eloise!" She heard Jinx moaning in mockery and heard a slapping sound, probably receiving a slap from Lilian. "Don't be jealous, babe; you know only you can drive me crazy like this. Only you can make me c*ck hard enough that I even have to think of you whenever I do it with that frigid."

Eloise closed her eyes, automatically remembering all the times she thought they were making love. Is that why he often had her on her knees? Is that the reason why it only lasts for a few minutes before he finishes? God, has she always been this blind that she didn't notice it?

After what seemed like forever of them f*cking like rabbits that even Eloise went numb, and she could only stare at the ceiling, she heard them finishing and how Jinx asked her if she enjoyed the show.

She didn't respond and tried to get her exhausted body and mind back, knowing that what happened would probably follow her in her dreams.

And when she woke up that day, her vision blurred, and her mind was spinning when she tried to get up. Eloise moaned and grabbed her stomach when it demanded food for what seemed like the hundredth time.

At that moment, one stupid thought came to her mind. What if she just ends it all and ends her suffering? Would that make everyone happy?

In her blurry vision, Eloise tried to find something to finish it all and saw a rope. Just when she thought of using it, the door slammed open, and Lilian came sauntering in like she owned the place.

"Wakey, wakey, Cinderella. It's time for you to do your princess duties." Lilian mocked her and crossed her arms in front of her.

"And if I don't want to?" Eloise stubbornly asked, despite feeling weak.

"Oh, sorry, did I give you any other option?"

Before Eloise could protest, she was already crying out in pain when Lilian dragged her outside by her hair. She clawed at her wrist, but she only tightened her grip on her, making her whimper in pain. She couldn't fight back because she was weak as a twig.

Lillian dragged her until they reached the living room, where the Newtons and the maids were. Through her blurry vision, Eloise could see the disgust in the cursed family's eyes because of her appearance, and she could also see pity in some of the maid's eyes that used to serve her.

Some of them worked with Eloise when she was still pretending to be a maid, and she took them with her when she got married. One of them was Clarice. She was thankful for Eloise's kindness when she helped her family, and it was breaking her heart to see her like this, but she couldn't do anything about it.

"From now on, this one here will work with you as a maid, but that isn't really something new considering she started as a maid," Jinx said, letting out an evil laugh.

From where she was sitting, Lola laughed as well. "That was a good one, brother. I remember her being so good at it, too. I actually think that being a maid suits her more."

"She won't eat until she cleans the whole house. If any of you are caught helping her, you will be automatically removed from your job or even punished. She is no longer the queen of this house, but I am. Do you understand me?" Lilian told the maids, and they all nodded in fear of losing their jobs.

"A queen with the attitude of a w***e," Eloise stated, laughing weakly.

What she said angered the demon queen, and she gripped her face so hard that Eloise was sure it would leave a mark.

"Be thankful that your pathetic life is still needed. Come to think of it, maybe I can have fun with your face." Lilian threatened her, and she was about to order someone to bring her a knife, but Maggie stopped her.

"Why do you have to do something like that? Her life is already at the bottom, anyway," Jinx's mother said with a blank look on her face, like usual.

Alice shook her head, pausing what she was reading to look at her daughter. "Oh, Maggie, always the saint one."

Lilian was annoyed by Maggie interrupting what she'd been itching to do since she met Eloise, but she was her fiancé's mother, so she couldn't really make an enemy out of her. She would never admit it, but she was always jealous of Eloise's natural beauty when she needed to undergo some surgery just to look the way she did.

Lilian scoffed and let go of Eloise's face. "Whatever."

She won't do it now, but when the time comes, she will ruin her face.

Jinx wrapped his arm around her and kissed his girlfriend's cheek. "Don't worry, darling. My c*ck only beats for you."

Lilian glared at Jinx and pushed him away, not feeling assured at all. Jinx laughed before he crouched in front of Eloise.

"Until I have your signature on the divorce paper, I forbid you to die, honey. Do what you are told to do, or else you will suffer more."

Eloise spat on his face, and Lola laughed. Feeling insulted, Jinx backhanded her, and she could feel her ears ringing.

When the family dispersed, some of the maids helped Eloise up. Clarice volunteered to bathe her, and she agreed with her weakened state. Once she's bathed, Clarice gives her the maid's uniform she's supposed to wear.

Once she was wearing it, Eloise stopped to look at her reflection. She couldn't help but laugh bitterly. Two years ago, she was wearing it pretending to be a maid, and now she was forced to be one.

She will serve the same family, but this time she will serve them to save her life.

The butler gave her a list of things she needed to do before she could eat. She is tasked with manually washing the dirty clothes, even when they have a washing machine, and ironing them all. Biting her tongue, Eloise started her task, and she was annoyed that most of them were not even dirty.

She let out a sound of disbelief when one of the maids added another pile of clothes on top of the mountain that she barely started.

Kiki, the maid who did it, sent her an apologetic look. After all, she was only ordered by Lilian to gather the maids' dirty clothes and add them to her load.

With every pair of clothes she washed, Eloise cursed every single member of the Newtons she met and even every friend of Jinx she met. She was thankful she didn't have any scissors with her because she would cut the branded ones without hesitation.

"Maybe I should add something that will irritate their skin," Eloise muttered under her breath and threw Jinx's boxer with the others she finished.

Halfway through her load, Eloise started to feel dizzy. She shook her head to get a hold of herself, but it only worsened, and she held her head while whimpering in discomfort.

She stood up to drink some water or anything to lessen the feeling, but she hadn't taken ten steps when she fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
