CHAPTER FOUR
“I know you said you’d eat here so I brought some coffee. And a nice salad roll from the bakery because I happen to know you didn’t bring lunch.” Charlotte handed the coffee to Rosie. “The roll is in the fridge for when you want to eat and have a break. What about now?”
“That’s thoughtful, darling. I will soon but might have this with you.” Rosie sipped and replaced the cup. “Hot!”
“Trev is walking around town with his new constable. Have you met him yet?”
“No. For that matter, I’ve hardly seen my son for the past week.”
“He said he wants to get the new guy up to speed quickly so they can start sorting shifts out. Last night they went to the lookout.”
