4- What’s That Smell?

Damn, how many students does this teacher have? They just keep piling in.

Inhaling deeply the scent of chocolate randomly hits me and it smells so damn good, which is causing my stomach to growl (I probably shouldn’t have skipped eating I thought).

Looking around the classroom I don’t see anyone eating, my mind must be playing tricks on me?

I think my hunger is making me crazy.

The teacher clears her throat, snapping me out of my food thoughts: “ Class we have two new students who started today and one of them will be joining us in this class, please let’s all welcome them with kindness”.

I wonder which pack they belong to since different packs attending this school.

I haven't heard anything about anyone joining my pack recently, but I have been completely out of the loop lately. I took a page out of my brother's books and focused on their no responsibilities motto for a bit (I have to take advantage of the opportunity while I can).

I wonder if I ever came across them and just didn't realize it.

The scent of chocolate is getting more and more intense by the second. Someone has to have a chocolate stash, maybe it's someone upfront and that’s why I can’t see it.

Mind linking my pack I ask: “Hey, are any of you holding out on me? Do any of you have chocolate or know where the smell is coming from?”

They all respond with: “I don’t smell chocolate”, “nope” or “damn I could go for some chocolate.“

Smh I must be going crazy.

The teacher clears her throat yet again: “Okay class, this is one of the new students”

The new student walks in and have you ever seen a cartoon or show where the person is just stuck on stupid? When they are frozen in time because of the complete shock of what they have just seen? Well, that's me, I'm that person.

I was so stuck in a daze so badly that I didn't hear the teacher asking me something.

This is so embarrassing. If my reaction ever gets out I would deny it and take it to my grave then haunt the person who revealed it, I’ll be known as Cari the not so friendly ghost. I'm so corny sometimes.
