Chase’s POV

Cari seems so sweet and innocent, I had no idea she would command so much respect, but I guess to be an Alpha you have to. When I saw her approach me I lost track of what I was even doing. She’s curvy and her choice of workout outfit didn’t leave anything to the imagination. She was wearing some tight leggings that showed the shape of her Apple bottom perfectly.

She doesn’t have a flat stomach but I could give two shits about that. Her body shows that she enjoys food and isn’t afraid to eat which is great. There’s nothing wrong with having a flat stomach. I just prefer some curves to grab and someone who won’t be embarrassed to eat in front of me. Her sports bra is one lucky piece of fabric. If only it were my hands holding up those melons.

Omg, what is wrong with me? Chase, get your head right, you don’t want to have to excuse yourself to go take a cold shower.

Everyone is now on the training field.

Cari began to speak: “Okay everyone, go ahead and start running while I start training with Chase to see what he got.”

Oh, I’ll show her what I got all right, no Chase stop, stop that type of thinking, my wolf decided at that moment to whimper and I laughed at him internally. Why is he like this? He hasn’t even claimed her as his mate. He’s so weird.

I look at her: “Okay Cari, I’m up for it. Let’s go. Don’t cry if I beat you.”

She looked at me: “Oh, you’ll be the one crying.”

She turned back to everyone: “On the count of 3 you lazy butts start running and Chase you come at me.”

“1”

She turns her head to look at me.

“2”

She turns back around and everyone looked at her and started snickering.

Is she underestimating me? Challenge accepted.

Once everyone started running I charged at her...oooh shit... She completely moved out the way causing me to fall on my face.

Everyone started laughing and shaking their heads.

Someone loudly says: “Rookie mistake.”

Cari yells back: “ Shut up Ryan or I’ll make you run more laps.”

Ryan saluted: “eye captain.”

“Just because you’ll be the pack warrior leader doesn’t mean I won’t bust your ass.”

That caused Ryan to shut up and everyone laughed.

I think I’m going to like it in this pack and Ryan seems cool.

Cari looked at me: “Everyone here knows to never underestimate your opponent and to always expect the unexpected.”

When she stated that I looked around at everyone to see if they agreed with her.

When I looked at Ryan, he mouthed to sweep Cari’s leg. I take full advantage of her not paying attention and sweep her leg. She lost her balance and was about to fall but I caught her.

She looked at me shocked and I ask: “You mean like that?

She playfully swatted my arm once she was out of my hold and we all started laughing.

Yup, Ryan is a cool dude.
