Rennie had been curled up between us most of the afternoon. She was so tired, we let her sleep since giving her a bath and letting her soak. This morning was different, soothing, animalistic almost. Not only did I feel completely satisfied, but so did Demetri. I’d had Shawn bring up food earlier and some of the things from my office so I could work in our room. Luke convinced me easily that Rennie needed us both today. The truth was, I needed her beside me just as much. Just her presents calmed my nerves and allowed me to work with ease.
