Kylie looked around, realization hitting her. . . If she didn't have her powers, if she wasn't the Moon Goddess, What would have happened? "I'm sorry,"  Brandon said looking her in the eye.   Kylie walked away from all her mates, she went towards the Pack-House, confusing them.  Once inside she followed the same path that her new mother-in-law had taken.  She found her alone, sitting inside a tiny sewing room.  Her eyes were glued to a wedding picture.  Kylie took her hand in hers and sat down next to her.  They both stared at the picture, no speaking. "I'm sorry that he did that to you,"  Kylie said in a whisper.  She didn't say a word, she just continued to stare a the photograph.   Jason and Brandon were already outside the door, they asked Sven and Griffin to watch the hall.  They didn't want anyone to surprise them.  They heard Kylie's words and paused, letting the two Luna's talk. "What do you want to happen to him?"  Kylie asked.  "What can I do to help you?" "You're the Goddess now, Break the bond, set me free."  She finally said turning to Kylie. Brandon was shocked at his mother's words.  She had never spoken out against his father.   Kylie listened to her words, then nodded.  "I can do that,"  she said still watching her.  "Are you sure?" "He enjoyed it, he couldn't wait to see it happen again."  Her eyes went back to the picture.  Suddenly she picked it up and threw it on the floor smashing it into many pieces.  Her voice was broken and shaky, "I always thought, . . .  well, . . .  hoped. .  . he felt some remorse." Kylie turned her, so she was facing her.  "Kitty, I need you to be sure.  Once I break the bond, I won't be able to repair it.  You don't need to decide right now." "Please, set me free.  Please,"  she said as the tears went down her cheeks.  "I stood by him all these years, he knew how much he hurt me, and he wanted to watch it happen again.  I don't ever want to see him again.  Please, I would do it myself, but I really want to live long enough to see your pups with my son."   Jason and Brandon were standing next to them at this point and Jason held Kylie's shoulder, trying to reassure her.  Brandon knelt down next to his mother, "I'm sorry mom." Her pleading eyes looked into his.  "Please, I need to be free of him." "I know you do,"  Brandon said holding her hand.  He looked at Kylie, "Please help her." Kylie stood up and before anyone realized what she was doing, she placed her hand on Kitty's shoulder and flashed out.   Kitty's eyes went wide looking around, Brandon was still holding her hand. "What?" Brandon asked, surprised they were in the dome. "I have to take care of her first, or she will feel the bond break,"  Kylie explained to Brandon. "I understand it will hurt,"  Kitty said, full of confidence. "You are going to sleep through it,"  Kylie said looking at her.  "It will be permanent,"  she said again. Kitty nodded, "I understand." "I want you to know what I am doing,"  Kylie explained.  "Normally, you wouldn't be aware of everything.  But, this is not normal."  She poured some things into a glass, added a liquid, and then, they saw it light up several times as she added different things.  "I am giving you some special herbs and powders to help break the bond and numb your senses to the loss.  I don't want you to feel any more pain.  I am adding something to help your heart heal."  she said looking deep into Kitty's eyes.  "Do you want me to make you forget what happened?" "You can do that?"  Brandon asked surprised. "I can, but she will forget everything associated," Kylie said looking at him in pitty. "You know?"  Kitty said grabbing her hand.  "How?" "I have the ability to read the past, memories, and access the past Goddess's memories.  I couldn't help but see yours.  Your pain was screaming at me."  Kylie admitted to her. "Brandon, can I speak to your wife alone for a minute?"  she asked quietly. "Mom, please, it's fine."  Brandon started to protest. "Let us talk for a minute,"  Kylie said with a faint smile at him.  "I link you to come back in a few minutes." "Ok,"  Brandon said nodding.  He reluctantly went to the door, looked back at the two most important people in his life, and finally left the room. "Don't tell him."  Kitty pleaded. "I won't." "I can live with the memory, I have for all these years.  I don't want to forget my son." "I can lessen the impact, numb you to some of the pain."  Kylie offered. "Don't tell him everything that happened,"  Kitty said again. "I won't tell him the parts you are worried about.  He knows far more than you realize." Kylie linked for him to return.  As he walked into the room,  "If you are ready, you will drink this and I will put you to sleep.  You understand he won't survive?" "Breaking the bond will not kill him,"  she said sadly shaking her head.  "He enjoyed what he did, what he allowed to be done to me." "My fathers and Jason, they won't allow him to live,"  Kylie said matter of factly.  "You won't see him again." "Thank you for that."  She picked up the glass and swallowed the liquid down.  Brandon took her hand and lead her to a room, handed her a gown, and motioned to the bathroom. "Hurry, you don't have long,"  he said watching her.  She went inside and changed, then brushed her teeth and used the bathroom.  Emerging she hugged her son and he tucked her into the bed.  "Good night mom.  I love you." She whispered, "I'm sorry that I am not stronger.  I love you too." as her eyes started closing. "It will be over soon," he said caressing her head.  "Sleep" Once he was sure that she was asleep, he left the room.  He immediately went back to Kylie. "She's asleep.," he told her.
