4 ORGO Emma and Paul were walking in a forest discussing their predicament. The trees were many and towered over them. The bushes were thick and looked like they went on forever. Leaves crumpled under their soles as they headed east. A direction not premeditated, but taken by chance. “So he lied to me?” Emma asked, looking down at her shoes. She was a little embarrassed that she believed someone’s lie and was led astray. “Giraud lies to all the kids,” Paul said, marching a bit uncoordinated and trying to twirl the staff like a baton. “No reason to mope around. Anyway, what did he promise you?” “He would take me to my sister’s house if I helped on the farm. What did he promise you?” “I could eat anything I wanted, anytime I wanted,” Paul said.
