Chapter 53The detective's offices at this station were in a long room with crowded cubicles with windows on the right side of an open hallway. Files cabinets and other office equipment sat in crowded partitioned alcoves. Several interrogation rooms were on the left. Other officers at their desks looked their way as they walked in. Several officers stood and watched them walk by.
Sara felt nervous. They were counting on her promise to elicit information from this woman that would not only prove who she was for hers and Huxley's sakes, but also to seal much of the police case against her. Sara couldn't believe she would be interrogating anyone, but that was her plan. Emma was told that a couple of people had been looking to find her.
