Chapter 15Across the front yard, a skinny old man dressed in baggy garden-soiled bib overalls and a dingy white t-shirt puttered. His full head of white hair needed a trim. He swept dirt off the sidewalk and back into the narrow flower beds bordering the fence. He saw them but turned away, tending to his work. Huxley stopped inside the gate. “You think that's him without his knit cap?” Sara grabbed his hand and dragged him toward the rear yard. “If it is, he'll find us.” Two middle-age couples sat at an old metal table and chairs at the edge of the concrete patio area.
