Bunty and Binzy: An Innocent Attempt to murder It was time when Binzy was 2 years old, it was a happy day for the children as Mumma had a day off. Children loved it when Mumma had off, they hated watching Mumma leaving for duty. Binzy would often hide Mumma’s shoes or socks or even some of Mumma’s belongings to stop her from leaving, children knew that if it’s Mumma’s day off she would take both of them to the garden and they would get good stuff to eat. It was Mumma’s habit, she loved watching the smiles on the face of children when they played around, and their happiness would make her happy too. She knew that both the children loved eating Vada pav, bhel, sandwiches, and their favorite ice creams, so she made sure that they had it at least once a week. Both the children would trouble Mumma a lot, whenever they were supposed to sleep, they had divided their sides. It was decided that Binzy would sleep on the left and bunty would sleep on the right side of Mumma. The left eye, left ear, left cheek, and the left hand of Mumma belonged to Binzy while the right side of Mumma belonged to bunty. Whenever they slept, they made sure that their side of Mumma didn’t go on the other side, making Mumma really uncomfortable. Mumma would often tell children that if they behaved properly and let her sleep, she would take them to good places and would treat them with their favourite ice cream. Today Bunty and Binzy were very happy as Mumma had promised them that if they behaved properly they would visit a garden and eat their favourite ice cream in the evening. Both of them had decided to behave properly and sleep in the afternoon so that they would go to the garden in the evening. Mumma fed Binzy and made her sleep at 12 pm while Bunty kept watching TV. Mumma thought it’s the best time to wash clothes as the children won't bother her. Mumma went into the washroom and started washing the soiled clothes, it was almost 15 minutes when bunty came running to Mumma and started telling Mumma that he has done something funny and that she must come and see it. Mumma was very busy washing clothes and hence she asked him to go and play in the house, But Bunty was constantly persuading Mumma to come and see the funny thing he has done in the house. At last, after few minutes Mumma was forced to leave her work behind and follow Bunty into the house. On arriving in the room Mumma was terrified on witnessing the scene, Binzy had turned her eyes upwards. Bunty had used the cotton kept in the showcase and inserted it into the nose, ears, and mouth of Binzy who was soundly sleeping on her bed. Mumma rushed towards Binzy and immediately removed all the cotton balls from her nose and mouth. Mumma woke Binzy up and took her out of the room in fear, Binzy immediately opened her eyes and started looking at Mumma who seemed very scared and worried. Mumma hugged Binzy and took her back into the room and started checking Binzy for any other problems. To Mumma’s relief, Binzy was totally fine. On asking Bunty, Mumma realized that he had seen a similar scene on the TV and wanted to do the same in reality. Bunty was told that he had done a bad thing and that he shouldn’t repeat anything as such again. On realizing his fault Bunty apologized and promised that he wouldn’t follow anything shown on the TV and would instead take care of the baby all the time.
