Chapter 3 – Night at Black Tier

Lysa Solenne is a 22 year old young lady that grew up being taken care of by her elder sister Mira Solenne. They grew up in wealth, until a terrible fire accident took both their parent’s lives and the company. The bank came to take all they can to cover up for the loans borrowed, leaving them with one out of ten houses their father built. Lysa struggling to move on from the wealthy lifestyle always tries to fit in at every chance she gets. Every time her pay comes in from her modeling gig, she spends it all on shopping and outings. She dedicates her weekend to partying with the elite. They have a group chat where the location, time, host, invitees, and dress code for their parties are dropped.
This weekend, the district picked for their party was Black Tier District, Staro Club.
Mira is not the kind of sister to cage you at home, however she would always warn Lysa to be careful of who she hangs out with, and most importantly what she says.
As Lysa was excitedly preparing to go out, Mira walked into her room, asked her for the location, who she was going with, then ended the conversation with the usual “Be careful”. Lysa always complained that she feels suffocated when she hears Mira’s nagging. She said Mira acts more like a grandmother than a 27 year old young lady she is.
Inside Staro club you can see the difference in hierarchy. They had the ordinary zone, middle class arena, VIP room and EPPR (Elite playground private room).
The party was hosted by Cassian Holt, the son of Minister Alric Holt, a high-ranking politician. Lysa was invited by the best friend of Clara Jane, the girlfriend to Robin Marr, son of Prosecutor Elyne Marr.
In the Elite playground private room, whatever happens there remains there, no cctv camera and no restriction.
Lysa got there, and with her special EPPR card she was granted permission to enter.
Including Lysa, there were about 12 in the room; 6 boys and 6 girls, plus extra 6 hostesses to entertain the boys.
The party started with a little bit of introduction, warm up games, alcohol, food, smoke, everything was fine until Robin brought out something that looked like candy and offered it to Cassian and everyone that wanted. Within 30 seconds, the whole place became a total chaos. They started to act out of control, laughing and doing things out of normal. Even though Lysa likes to fit in, she knew Mira didn’t train her to do drugs so she declined when offered.
Under the influence, Cassian began forcing the drugs on one of the hostess but she refused with a smile. He threatened her, but she still said no.
He got angry and started to throw things. The atmosphere changed and the noise reduced.
He gave her again, but this time she stood up and shouted no.
Her voice trembled and her body was shaking in fear.
He screamed and started to beat her up while everyone watched in fear.
Thinking she would have a change of mind after the violence, he offered her once again, but her response still remained no.
Out of anger he pushed her.
She landed with her head hitting the table, and blood was seen gushing out.
Clara rushed to check on her, but she was no longer breathing.
It dawned on Lysa that she just witnessed a murder.
Everybody except Cassian and Robin were trembling. Robin said his father would take care of it that there was no need to be scared.
Lysa who couldn’t pretend everything was fine stepped into the toilet and placed a call to her best friend Tamsin Reeve. Her voice shook as she whispered
“Hello, I just witnessed a murder.
Minister Alric Holt’s son just killed somebody”.
