Chapter 1: The Bermuda Triangle Adventure
A U.S. Atlantic Fleet destroyer has mysteriously disappeared in the Bermuda area.
A U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jet has mysteriously disappeared over the Bermuda Triangle.
A Mexican frigate has mysteriously disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle.
A Brazilian oil tanker has mysteriously disappeared near Bermuda.
...Mysterious Disappearances! Mysterious Disappearances! Media outlets around the world are reporting on the mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. Bermuda is becoming increasingly mysterious; almost every ship and aircraft passing through the area disappears without a trace. The US Navy and Air Force once conducted a joint exploration of the Bermuda Triangle, but it ended in failure, and a fighter jet was lost during the expedition. All the crew members watched the aircraft vanish before their eyes, but they had no idea how it disappeared.
In response, the UN Security Council decided to organize a multinational expedition to assist in exploring the mysterious Bermuda Triangle. The five permanent members of the Security Council were the main member countries of this expedition team, and Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Australia, India, Germany, and other countries also sent personnel to join the expedition.
This is a brand-new multi-dimensional exploration activity that combines the sea, land, air and space forces, aiming to unveil the mystery of Bermuda in one fell swoop.
This expedition was enormous, equipped not only with advanced exploration equipment but also with highly sophisticated military gear due to direct military involvement. This included advanced fighter jets such as the American F-22, the Chinese J-20, the Russian Su-35, and the French Mirage, along with the USS Washington aircraft carrier. Each of the participating countries—China, the UK, Russia, France, and Australia—had a destroyer squadron and an air force squadron. The total cost was $892.3 billion. It's hard to believe this was just an expedition! It even brought together several clearly hostile nations!
Zhou Bing is an outstanding pilot from the Chinese military during this expedition. He is 22 years old and holds the rank of major. He joined the People's Liberation Army at the age of 16, then underwent two years of training in the Wolf Fang Special Forces. He joined the Chinese Air Force at the age of 18 and became an air force major at a young age due to his military achievements.
Expeditions from various countries have gathered in Florida, USA, where they will embark on a thorough exploration of Bermuda. It is believed that everything will be unveiled through humanity's endless spirit of exploration.
This will undoubtedly be an unprecedented expedition, and it will be the largest human endeavor to date. The next day marked the start of the grand expedition, and the night was long. The Chinese pilots were wide awake.
Zhou Bing spoke first: "Hey guys, tomorrow's the day of our big adventure, aren't you excited?"
"Ha, how can you not be excited? I heard that the mysterious disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle aren't mysterious disappearances, but time travel! Time travel, you know! Just like in the palace!" a lieutenant said.
"What are you talking about, kid! Time travel? What a joke! Does such a thing even exist? Have you been watching too much palace drama, or are you obsessed with some actress?!" a lieutenant colonel shouted. This lieutenant colonel was the squadron leader of the Chinese Air Force on this grand expedition.
"Hey, Captain, look at this! If time travel really existed, wouldn't you want to? Those novels about time travel and fighting the Japanese are so exciting! Hehe!" Zhou Bing said with a smile.
"You know that's just fiction! If you embarrass me tomorrow, I'll teach you a lesson!" the squad leader said.
"I promise I won't bring shame to China!" Zhou Bing shouted.
"Turn off the lights! Go to sleep!" the squad leader shouted.
"Hey, wait for me! I haven't made the bed yet! No...!" Zhou Bing screamed in despair.
Early the next morning, all participants in the Great Expedition gathered in the central square of Florida. With the President of the United States giving the order "Go!", fighter jets took to the skies, warships sailed the waves, and the USS Washington aircraft carrier set sail immediately.
The low and medium altitudes over Bermuda are almost cloudless, offering a clear view of the entire area. Zhou Bing piloted his fighter jet, searching the skies. To his left was an American F-22, and to his right, a Russian Su-35.
"Let's go, up the road!" the American pilot sent a message to Zhou Bing and the Russian pilot. Then he pulled up sharply and quickly rushed into the clouds, as if showing off the superiority of the F-22 fighter jet in front of the Chinese and Russian pilots.
Seeing this, Zhou Bing quickly pulled his fighter jet up and caught up with the American plane, while the Russian plane also tried its best to catch up. Zhou Bing caught up with the American plane, smiled at the American pilot, and the American pilot smiled back, then pointed backward with his thumb and shook it. Zhou Bing understood what he meant. The American pilot was saying that the Russian plane was inferior. What a joke! The F-22 and J-20 are from the same generation, and the F-22 is a whole generation more advanced than the Su-35. How could it not be better? Poor Americans, they only know how to bully those inferior to them.
Zhou Bing searched for other fighter jets in the clouds and found that they were all inside the clouds. He then telegraphed the American pilots to report: "Rejoin the main group in the clouds!" He then quickly moved towards the main group, and the American planes also quickly moved closer. Only the Russian Su-35 was still slowly chasing after the Chinese and American planes.
Zhou Bing was moving very fast, almost reaching the J-20's maximum speed. Suddenly, he realized that he had lost the American plane he was about to fly away from. Zhou Bing couldn't help but laugh and said, "Haha, poor Americans, they only know how to bully the weak. Haha, in the end, they still lost it to me, didn't they? Haha, keep going, J-20!" He then increased his speed again.
Suddenly, Zhou Bing, still reeling from losing the American plane, realized something was wrong. A closer inspection revealed – it was out of fuel! This was high altitude! What to do without fuel? He immediately called for help, specifically for American refueling aircraft. Zhou Bing repeatedly radioed the plane, but received no response. "Damn Americans! They're treacherous! Didn't they promise to increase their rescue efforts? Why haven't they replied yet? I'll definitely protest to the Security Council when I get back. Now I have no choice but to make an emergency landing!" Zhou Bing began preparing for the landing, his eyes glued to the altimeter – 0! What did 0 mean? 0 meant the plane had landed! Zero meters altitude! How could Zhou Bing not be astonished? He checked again and again, confirming the plane was indeed out of fuel and the altitude was that astonishing 0 meters! Zhou Bing looked out through the fairing; it was pitch black, devoid of the sun, moon, and stars.
"Where am I?" Zhou Bing muttered to himself. He turned on the plane's navigation lights, illuminating the way ahead. Zhou Bing's mouth formed an "O" shape; ahead lay a stone wall! After carefully looking around, he found that it was also surrounded by stone walls. Zhou Bing decided to jump out and take a look. He took off his flight suit, checked his pistol and flashlight, and after confirming that the plane had landed, Zhou Bing finally jumped out.
After disembarking, Zhou Bing looked around extensively and finally determined that the plane had landed inside a cave. What a joke! A plane splashing down inside a cave! Could that be possible? But this seemingly impossible thing actually happened to Zhou Bing.
"I'll have something to tell them when I get back. How did the plane land in a cave? How is that possible?" Zhou Bing muttered to himself.
Inside this enormous cave, Zhou Bing assumed it was naturally formed. He couldn't believe the immense financial and human resources it would take to create a cave of this size, especially considering it was near America. Even in China, it wouldn't be a problem to carve out a cave even larger. The key question was, could Americans do it? Therefore, Zhou Bing naturally assumed it was a natural cave. He thought someone who had spent two years in a special forces unit would probably be long dead. Fortunately, Zhou Bing had marked the way, preventing him from getting lost.
After trying countless forks in the road and dodging countless dangers, the exhausted Zhou Bing finally spotted a glimmer of light ahead. Full of hope, he ran towards the source, which grew brighter and larger. It was indeed the exit of the cave, and Zhou Bing finally emerged from the enormous cave. Breathing in the exceptionally fresh air, Zhou Bing cursed, "Damn Bermuda Triangle!" His stomach was also growling with hunger. He shot down a large bird, used a bullet to start a fire, and roasted it to eat.
