Emma giggled lightly. Miss Ivy's hands where on her waist, her chest rested gently on Emma's back. I don't think this is a good idea. Emma said her face filled with worry. Ivy was her schools culinary arts teacher. You just have to watch, you don't have to get involved. Ivy said almost pleadingly. Emma sighed and turned to face her. A vegan shouldn't watch others cook animals, such sweet innocent creatures. But the animals are tasty. Like madly tasty and am not just other people. Ivy said and pecked her lips. Ivy and Emma had been in a relationship for months now. Though Ivy was her teacher, they both fell in love with each other at first sight mostly because they were the only half white, half black in the entire school. They kept their relationship private because if it becomes public Ivy will not only lose her job for dating her student but it won't go well for Emma either. Okay! I will just watch and not help out at all. Emma concluded. You know you haven't told me why you decided not to cook non vegan meals. Ivy said. I don't think I have a reason. I'm a vegan, I shouldn't cook what I don't eat. That's just it. Emma said. Non vegan dishes are what makes chefs rich these days. Even vegetarian chefs tend to cook non vegan meals if they want their career to florish. Ivy explained. I just...how do the vegan chefs taste the non vegan meals they make ? Emma asked. I ... don't know. That's a good question for another time. Ivy chuckled, and led Emma to the kitchen. Emma sat on the dinning table. They where at Ivy's home, her kitchen and dinning were conjoined together. I will be damn bored watching you cook! Emma lamented. No you won't. Ivy assured and placed her hands on her laps. She leaned in and locked Emma's lips in a passionate kiss for few seconds, Emma groaned in annoyance when she broke the kiss. I will be cooking over there, she said pointing further into the kitchen, where the gas cooker and cooking cabinets were. And I will also be teaching you how to make emhm... Guess someone hasn't taught of what to cook yet. Emma teased. No I have. Ivy quickly said, I will make, scallops! Those poor scallops! Emma moaned the words as she said them. How tasty they can be ! If and only if my girlfriend is not a vegan. Ivy teased. Emma chuckled. Sometimes I kinda wish I wasn't but I'm, am gonna make a great vegan chef one day. Yeah you are. And when that time comes am going to be standing right next to you supporting you all through. Ivy said smiling at her. She leaned in again and kissed her, this time gentler than the first. Ivy was five years older than her but non of them seemed to care, their teacher student relationship couldn't even get in the way. They found solace in each other and also peace they couldn't find in the world. Ivy's hands settled on Emma's thighs where they rested on the edge of the dining table, her thumbs stroking slow circles over the soft skin. The kiss deepened gradually, both their mouths opening, tongues brushing, until Ivy pulled back with a quiet breath. "Don't move," she murmured, then turned and walked the short distance into the kitchen proper. As she walked the distance she said, sweet, tender scallops marinated in white wine and garlic, grilled quickly and served alongside charred asparagus. Emma gave a small smile as Ivy spoke. Even now Ivy was being a teacher, she sometimes wonder how Ivy managed to pull this of, all she wanted right now wasn't a lesson but her girlfriends lips. The ingredients for this meal will be, eight large sea scallops, half cup dry white wine, three table spoon olive oil, three garlic cloves.. minced, one zested and juiced lemon, one tablespoon of fresh lime leaves, half tablespoon salt, half tablespoon of black pepper, asparagus spears well trimmed and lastly one tablespoon olive oil for asparagus. Ivy concluded with her list of ingredients which was already well arranged before her. Emma just wanted her to get on with it instead of calling out the ingredients to her hearing. Ivy began whisking the ingredients that needed to be whisked together, Emma watched her from behind. Ivy didn't keep quiet all through, she kept on telling her how to prepare the meal as she made it. When Ivy finally returned, she didn't speak. She stepped between Emma's open knees, cupped her face, and kissed her again, firmer this time. One hand slid under the hem of her shirt, her palm warm against bare skin, fingers tracing the curve of her waist. Emma made a soft sound into her mouth and pulled her closer by the hips. After a while Ivy broke the kiss again, her lips wet, and breathing a little harder. "Just a few minutes," she said, and went back to the kitchen. Emma sighed loudly, she hated the scallops for interrupting them. This time Ivy spent five minutes before coming back to her. Ivy was already leaning in before she fully reached the table. This time the kiss was hungrier, she pressed closer, one hand bracing on the wood beside Emma's hip, the other sliding higher under her shirt, thumb brushing the underside of her breast. They kissed until Emma gripped her shirt with both hands, pulling her in. Again Ivy stepped back, though it clearly cost her. She returned after two minutes, she was no longer calling out to Emma anymore, the scallops where now a distraction to her too. So she turned of everything and left the scallops half cooked, making out with her girlfriend was more important. Ivy returned almost immediately, kissing her hard, tongue sliding deep, both hands now under the shirt, palms spanning her ribs. Emma wrapped her legs loosely around her, holding her there as the kiss turned messy and open-mouthed. When they parted this time it was only for a breath. "Almost done," Ivy whispered against her lips, then forced herself to turn away. She had forgotten to close the fridge and hadn't properly turn off the gas cooker. Ivy kissed her like she had been holding herself back the whole time, deep, urgent, one hand tangled in her hair, the other gripping her thigh. Emma kissed her just as hard, fingers sliding up the back of her neck, keeping her close, the half-finished food in the kitchen completely forgotten. Both were too engrossed, it was a bad idea to mix pleasure with cooking.
