When the elevator doors opened Hannah was accosted by Kim Jesser, the programmer who had possibly started this whole mess. She was excited to the point of hysteria, almost jumping out of her shoes.
“Kim, I came as quickly as possible. What have you discovered?” Hannah asked, hoping the woman could calm down enough to explain.
“I’m sorry it’s so late, Detective, but this couldn’t wait,” the young woman said.
“It’s ok, Kim. I wasn’t asleep.” It was a lie. She had managed to close her eyes less than two hours ago. The coffee she had drank earlier in the evening was now tormenting her, doing nothing to clear the fatigue.
“I’ve figured out how to talk with Marcus, um, Mr. Helkar,” Kim said.
“Really.” Now Hannah was awake
