CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX THURSDAY, AUGUST 19, 2027 7:00am (00:08:28:00) Adam disconnected the call as soon as the outgoing message started and threw his phone down on the couch. That was Gerriks. Before him Masters’s voicemail had picked up. If neither one of them was answering something was wrong. It was early, but they knew he was trying to reach them. They had certainly received his other messages. Why wasn’t anybody responding? He didn’t have the other names in his phone. He never thought of them as important enough. Now he had to find somebody.
