“I need a drink and a night out,” she informed Lisa in a loud voice. “Gregg just doesn’t deserve me.” Ruth grimaced at the mention of her husband’s name, and Lisa looked at her in concern. This just wasn’t like Ruth she thought, she was usually so sensible and level headed. She had never been interested in girlie nights out before. She was so much into her family. Lisa was on the verge of demanding what was wrong, when Emma and her family appeared at the table, talking and laughing. Another ping of the restaurant door, and a group of school friends entered with a clatter. The table was soon full with twenty raucous females.
