11 Saturday morning was bright and warm. Lisa stared out of the window at the glorious sunshine, yawning and stretching. This morning she had lain in bed reading and intermittently snoozing. Finally, at ten o’clock, she had risen to make herself a coffee and toast slathered with raspberry jam. She perched on a kitchen stool, leaning on the breakfast bar to chew her warm toast and simultaneously read her book. It was lovely not to have to rush off to work. Lisa realised that it had been months since she had a Saturday off. She planned on having a relaxing day and then she was going to get ready for Emma’s hen night.
