The Devils lair

With those words, he leaned in to seal this deal with a kiss. His hot lips landing on mine, moving on mine, massaging them. He pulled back after a few seconds as his hand was traveling from my cheek, down my neck as his thumb started moving in circles on the spot where my arteries were closest to the skin. “Okay, then let's get going little half breed…” He was first to stand and he walked out, not waiting for me to follow. I rushed after him out of the bar and to his car. It was a brand new black sports car. He opened the passenger door for me and waited for me to get in. I rushed to it, not waiting for him to chnge his mind on it. I sat in the car while he drove, my fingers dipping into the leather seat so tightly that I will probably leave a mark there. My breathing was shallow and uneven, I needed to control myself, because this is not the place to lose control. I didn’t lose it when Jarred rejected me and won't lose it now. When I lose control, my powers go crazy and well, the last time it happened I burned a man to a crisp. Good thing no one saw that and no one knew what happened to him. And so no one knows what happens when I lose control. Only my mother knew and her father, but both of them are dead. And the pack didn’t know that I had power at all. I took a few deep calming breaths, trying to get both of my sides under control. I needed something to focus on. I tried looking out the window, but that wasn’t working. So my only option was my ticket ou and I guess my new owner. Damien Dark, better known as Devil. His looks matched his name so well. He had pale white skin which was usual for all of his kind. His hair back and on the longer side, making him look artistic and maybe even romantic, but his eyes… they were icy blue, but there was darkness behind them. True deep darkness you only hear in fairy tales. He was lean, but I knew that he was stronger than almost everyone in the pack and maybe even if thr Alpha had a chance of going against him the chances were slim. If I believed the rumors, which I don’t, he was almost five hundred years old. No one really knows how he became a Vampire or where he is really from, but everyone knows to fear him. He was one of the craziest and the most brutal beasts that roam this side of the world. Mothers scared their children in the pack with stories of him. Well my mother never did that, but I know for sure others did. My mother didn’t really care about me and telling a story or even talking to me would have required her to be sober or talk to me at all. So I only heard them in school when other kids told their friends about them. So he was supposed to be this buggy man that killed and made deals with anyone he wanted something from. All of his deals had to be useful for him and serve some sort of purpose, but I heard that sometimes he did things just to mess with people that were in power, to break them down and and humiliate them. I sighted again, so that was the reason why he was the best choice for me. No one would mess with him, especially over me. So I should be safe from the pack's reach. To leave a pack… its rear but not unheard of. The main problem with leaving was that you are defying your alfa by doing that and if you survive the separation there is a big chance that the pack will hunt you down and kill you just because you defied the Alpha. Humiliating him like that cannot go unpunished. So staying with him even for a few months was a great choice for me. None in the pack will ever go anywhere near him, so I should be safe. But I didn’t know how safe I was going to be from the Devil himself. The longer we traveled, the more tired my body got as the emotional turmoil probably exhausted my body and any attempt to stay awake failed. And so I felt darkness overtake my body bit by bit until I was totally out. The next time I opened my eyes, we were no longer in the small town where my pack resided. We were surrounded by thick forests. I felt pressure on my chest get srtronger the further I got from the pack's land. It was hard to breathe. I felt my wolf cry, wanting to return back, but I refused to succumb to it. I turned to Damien. He looked like he hadn’t moved at all…which was surprising. “Good you are awake, we are almost at my compound.” His low voice was vibrating through the small car. I sucked in a breath when the vibrations touched my skin. I didn't know what to say to him so I just nodded, turning my gaze away from him, focusing on the road. We arrived at what I guess was his compound… his lair. I couldn’t see the building itself from here, because it was all surrounded by a tall metal fence. I would call it his fortress. He stopped at a keypad, quickly typing a code and scanned his thumb. The huge doors opened for us and Damien drove up the driveway. I was shaken for a moment when I spotted the huge modern house in the middle of the big fenced area. I expected it to be an old castle or some military base, but that was wow… It was all windows on two sides of the house. It was probably a three-story house, with so much open space. My little shock moment was disturbed by Damien. “Welcome to my home little halfbreed…” I turned to him, wanting to stop him from calling me that, but I shut my mouth up and only nodded before I said something to infuriate him. He slipped out of the car and I followed him. Again he typed a code and scanned his thumb and the doors opened. I followed after him inside. “I will show you to a room that you can stay in. You can freshen up while I make a few calls and then we will discuss what is expected from you.” Not waiting for my answer, he walked up the stairs onto the second floor, making a sharp turn right and opened the last door in that corridor. “Here you go. I will get you when I’m done.” And just as abruptly, he left me there alone.
