1223 Words
For the past few days Lauryn has routinely come to Isabelle's clinic to treat her internal injuries, she has also been given several kinds of medicine and potions to restore her condition which was previously very bad. This morning Lauryn went to the clinic as usual to get her medicine for this week. Because Lauryn was quite used to living in the Ruby Moon pack, she could easily find Isabelle's clinic. From a distance, Lauryn saw that there were quite a number of people outside Isabelle's clinic, and she wondered what made these people wait there, because previously the clinic was quiet and only she visited there. "Good morning, did something happen here?" said Lauryn while greeting one of the girls standing outside the clinic. Seeing that the young girl was slightly surprised when she heard Lauryn's voice, she hastily turned around to see who it was and immediately smiled when she saw Lauryn talking to her. "Morning. Don't you know what happened last night?" asked Hannah - the girl's name - confused, because the incident that happened last night was so horrendous, she didn't think there would be someone who wouldn't know about it. Lauryn frowned subtly when she heard the answer given by the girl, then she shook her head because she really didn't know anything here. A slight shake of the head was visible from Hannah, she then moved her hand to order Lauryn to come closer to her, "Come here." According to what Hannah said, Lauryn immediately brought her head closer to Hannah who seemed to want to say something to her. "Some people were poisoned by something, until now we still don't know what caused it. That's why there are a lot of people who came here today," explained Hannah deliberately making her voice sound mysterious. "Gosh! I just found out about this, did you also get poisoned?" Lauryn suddenly became shocked when she heard the explanation given by Hannah to her. Hannah shook her head slowly, "Luckily not, I'm here to take my sister who seems to have been poisoned." I heard Hannah's voice grow weary as she ended her sentence. Feeling sad about what happened to Hannah, Lauryn patted the woman's shoulder lightly to give her mental support. "I hope your sister is fine," said Lauryn, expressing her sadness. Hannah then smiled faintly, then decided to change the topic of their conversation, "Then, what are you doing here? From the looks of it, you didn't get poisoned," asked Hannah curiously, because the girl who was talking to her didn't look limp like her sister. . "I'm here to talk to Doctor Isabelle," Lauryn answered simply, she felt she couldn't tell strangers her condition. "Ahh I see. By the way, you can call me Hannah." Feeling that they hadn't introduced themselves before, Hannah decided to tell her name. "Lauryn," Lauryn replied, shaking the hand Hannah held out to her. Then, Lauryn saw that there were many people waiting in front of the clinic, she decided to leave there and choose to come back later when Isabelle was not busy. However, just as Lauryn was about to step away from there, she heard someone's voice calling her, which made her immediately look back. And Lauryn also found that it was Isabelle who looked very messy at the moment. Seeing that Isabelle called out to her, Lauryn immediately approached her. Isabelle quickly pulled Lauryn's arm into her clinic, she needed to talk to her about something right now. "Could you help me?" said Isabelle with a look of haste. Thinking that the current situation was dire, Lauryn thoughtlessly agreed to Isabelle's request to him, "Sure, what do you need?" "Right now I need some items and I need you to pick them up at Blue Jade City." Isabelle took out a piece of paper from her pocket and gave it to Lauryn. Lauryn was about to open her mouth to respond to Isabelle's request, but she was immediately interrupted by Isabelle who seemed very busy at the moment. "Sorry to bother you, but I need those items as soon as possible, so get going!" Isabelle lightly patted Lauryn's shoulder, then walked away to continue her work which was piling up at the moment. A grin sounded from Lauryn, she turned around and saw that all the beds in this clinic were occupied by someone, it seemed that the situation was really dire. That way, like it or not, Lauryn had to go to the nearest town to pick up the things that Isabelle said before. . . . Before going to the nearest town from the Ruby Moon pack, Lauryn first took her jacket at home, not forgetting to put the hood on her jacket to cover her head. Lauryn had to be careful, even though she was allowed to live in the Ruby Moon pack, she didn't want her whereabouts to be known by Sebastian and his soldiers. Even so, Lauryn had to move quickly because Isabelle really needed the items she was taking at this time. It took Lauryn about thirty minutes to arrive at Blue Jade City. Once in the city, Lauryn took out a piece of paper that Isabelle had given her. "Nasty Herbs?" Lauryn muttered confusedly, feeling a little strange when she saw the name of the place she was currently headed for. From the name, Lauryn guessed that her destination this time was a drugstore that Isabelle frequented visit. It's just that Lauryn felt the name of the store was a little strange. Lauryn shook her head slowly and continued her search. After wandering around in Blue Jade City for a while, Lauryn finally found a shop named Nasty Herb; she didn't expect that the shop was in a less crowded corner of town. "Damn it, I spent so much time just to find this shop," Lauryn muttered unhappily, she hated it when she had to waste so much time doing something pointless like this. Without wasting much time, Lauryn entered the shop that looked a little scary. And sure enough when Lauryn entered the shop, she was greeted with tall shelves full of medicines, the smell of the medicines in the shop was so overpowering, it made Lauryn want to hold her breath. "Excuse me, is anyone there?" Lauryn said quite loudly, because she didn't see any shopkeeper in the shop. Lauryn walked slowly to look deeper into the shop because she couldn't see the shopkeeper. "What do you need to come to my shop?!" A sinister heavy sound came from somewhere. Suddenly, Lauryn was surprised when she heard the sound, she turned around and saw no one there. Then, not long after Lauryn felt her leg being hit by something. It was only when Lauryn lowered her head that she saw someone who looked like a dwarf there. Lauryn almost screamed when she saw that person, but she immediately held it in because she saw the look on the person's face was not very good at this time. Lauryn cleared her throat softly, then immediately handed over the piece of paper that Isabelle gave her to that person, "Isabelle sent me here to get her belongings." Lauryn explained her reason for coming there. When he saw the paper given by Lauryn, the dwarf looked at Lauryn with a suspicious probing gaze.
