Jett POV
My Beta jumped in front of me as he cried,
"Alpha? Alpha!"
I could hear him but was going to walk through him if that was possible. He grabbed my arms urgently and shook me while mindlinking,
'Jett! Alpha Jett, look at me! Listen to me! Vera is doing her job. You sent for her to keep the girl well-behaved, remember?'
I stopped struggling to get past him. Then he began to lead me outside, practically shoving me out of the room with all his might. Meanwhile, the oblivious Vera was speaking to Raven in a soft, threatening voice,
"You do not speak unless spoken to, you hear me. You do not TALK to the Alpha! Understood?"
No response.
"Now, get up, Sophia!"
Clove quickly reached out and shut the door so that Raven and the warrior were out of my sight.
