It had been a busy morning because I wanted it to be. Being occupied kept my mind in line. I left the pack before dawn and had just raced back to pick up copies of a document.
I could've asked my Beta to have someone bring it to me. Raven had been asleep when I left. It didn't hurt to check if she had begun her day. It would be an eventful day for her.
Although, when I spotted my fiancée from a distance, I thought that it might be a bad idea to be around the pack at this hour.
She couldn't be here because of me, could she? Her total silence this past day was expected and quite relieving, considering the situation I was in. Her brother, Alpha Merritt, must have scolded her thoroughly for spending the night at my house, even though we had a chaperone.
