Don’t leave me.

The cool tropical breeze began caressing me the moment I existed the airport. This feels like Heaven compared to the freezing snow I left back in New York. I’m home,I sigh in relief. My sister is a little late to pick me up from the airport but that’s ok, I’m hungry so I’ll grab a Starbucks coffee and some breakfast while I wait. Everything is so different in Jamaica compared to New York. I can finally relax and take a breather without the constant rush. I’m only here for three days but these three days mean a lot to me. I was just finishing up my sandwich when I heard me sister walk up behind me. “ Amy.” She half sang half shouted in her usual chirpy excited voice as she hugged me “ wait, how did you find me? It’s like you have a gps attached to me or something” I joked. She’s my younger sister by six months but she’s very mature and has a very realistic approach towards life. She doesn’t approve of my sexuality but she doesn’t badger me about it like my parents do which I’m so grateful for. We chatted for a little before we headed out to the car with my luggages “ Where to?” She asked. I’m sure she already knows that I’m heading to my girlfriend’s condo but she’s hoping I’d go visit mom and dad before I do but I won’t. We played music and vibed straight to Siya’s condo. I hugged my sister again and thanked her and then I made my way inside.
