Count Kael was a short, half muscled red eyed vampire. He was over a century old and was greedy and perverted. He loathed humans but yet, kept human servants for reasons known to him alone. Diana stepped inside and he looked at her with a smile, a suspicious smile. "Good morning sir,you called me". The count stood up immediately "My favorite human. Good morning to you too"he replied with surprisingly bright smile. "He's acting suspicious and surprisingly nice today" Lucian mumbled in my head and I mentally agreed.
"I have amazing news. The Demon king is coming to our lands today. He's coming for inspection on her borders and this is my chance to finally earn his favour." Kael announced. Diana rolled her eyes at his obvious greed for power and favor. "Yes my lord. Should I prepare a banquet for his arrival?" She asked calmly. "Yes. A grand feast and make sure my daughter is there. I want everything to perfection. Don't fail me Diana." he spoke as he ran his hand through his bearded chin. Diana bowed and left the room. She sighed at the obvious work that was needed for the banquet. "Lucian your quiet. Anything wrong?" She asked the devil in her head.
"My son is visiting"he replied with a shaking and relieved tone.
Diana paused at his statement "The demon king is your son?. That's new. Do you want to meet him?"she asked. She headed to the maid quarters as Lucian answered "I never saw him grow up. I always chose work over him. It's been centuries ".
"Hmm... You wanna meet him." Diana stated as she opened the doors of the maid quarters and the maids immediately assembled and scrambled up. "Yes. I would like to meet him in my human form" he said honestly. Diana sighed internally and turned to the maids who were standing and waiting for her to talk. "Listen up. The Demon king will be visiting and staying for a few days. I will assign all of you work for prepare for the banquet and make sure everything is done to your upmost best"she said sternly as she assigned the maids their duties. The maids began whispering and shrieking and she understood why. The Demon king was rumored to be the most handsome supernatural in the whole realm. With golden eyes that can entrance your soul and body that can make you drool. She rolled her eyes at the way the maids were daydreaming. Diana turned around and headed to the kitchen to address the staff. And then to the guest house. It was a mini mansion where the demon king and his envoy will be staying. She walked into the dust covered mansion. She strolled around the hallways as she waited for the assigned maids to arrive. She opened windows and looked around the bushy but colorful garden. "Miss Diana" a maid called from behind her. She turned around and saw a six maids holding cleaning equipments.
"Begin your cleaning. I'll take care of the master bedroom. And make sure everything is spotless." Diana instructed. The maids began their cleaning and she headed to the master bedroom. It was the biggest bedroom in the whole guest house. It was the room the demon king himself will be staying. She began cleaning. She opened every single window and dusted every single corner. She wept, scrubbed and mopped. She changed the bedsheets, dusted the fluff red cushions and finally made the balcony spotless and shiny.
Diana stretched as she finally finished cleaning and sat on the edge of the massive bed. She looked around at her hardwork and decided to check up on how the maids were doing. She headed down the halls and saw the maids ogling and shrieking along the windows.
"What's going on?"she asked sternly as she approached them. The maids became startled and stood nervously. Diana just stared blankly at the maids.
"Miss, um.... The Demon king is here"one of them said making her pause. "He's here. It's 4pm. He's too early"she muttered as she immediately headed downstairs and the maids immediately followed.
"He's finally here. I want to see him. Hurry faster" Lucian voice rang in my head as she headed down the stairs. Diana was met with a group of demons and the count who were talking downstairs.
The count immediately looked at her and began scolding.
"I told you to make sure everything is to perfection. And now the feast isn't ready. The guest house isn't neat enough. We now look bad and it is all because of your incompetence and laziness.".
Diana eyes darken as she glared at the count.
"Let me remind you sir," she began with a firm voice.
"You gave us this information only two hours ago and most of us are human. We don't have that vampire speed or powers. So you can't put the blame on us"she retort and the count eyes immediately turned red.
"What did you say?"he asked as he turned into a blur of motion and stood in front of her. "Mind your words human or else I'll...,"he started as his hands began aiming for her neck.
"Enough"a voice thundered. The count froze and immediately knelt, like an invisible force pulled him down. She looked at the who spoke,he wore a cloak and a black mask, with an unshakable aura that somehow made her impressed.
"My son" Lucian muttered in her head.
